The MechanicAnts 20V Lithium-Ion Cordless Planer (model MA2110) combines the speed and capacity of a corded planer with the convenience of cordless. The result is fast and accurate stock removal, without the cord. The MA2110 delivers 15,000 RPM and is engineered for fast stock removal. It will plane up to 3-1/4” wide and 5/64” deep in a single pass, with a 2-blade cutter head and double-edge carbide blades for added performance and a smooth finish. The click depth adjustment knob has an easy-to-read scale with settings from 0” to 5/64” for precise depth adjustment. In addition, the precision machined aluminum base is engineered for increased planning accuracy.

The media could not be loaded. Overall, the planer was better than I expected. My review is based on a few categories. Build and durability: The plastic and rubber is nice like you would find in a name brand tool. The motor didn’t seem to get hot, and it has held up well after a couple weeks. Performance: At least with a brand new blade, the machine cut quickly on both hardwoods and softwoods. It has been very helpful for flattening some big cherry boards in addition to my bench top planer. Batteries: The battery is well made with both a battery life indicator and a rubberized bottom. I don’t know if it fits another brand, but you may consider it because, at least on this tool, the life runs out really quickly. Other than that, the dust bag collection is just the okay, so use of a vacuum is probably a better option, and I am happy that a jig was included to sharpen the blade, all transported in a big case.
