First off, they did fix the 90° opening problem. You know you've got the right model if there's a -21 on both the top and bottom case. (Picture above) Vents and ports are all accounted for including two cutouts for the mics at the very top. I do wish an additional two rubber feet were placed on the lift as there are cutouts for it but no rubber feet. One customer said laptop will have more heat build up which is a small given similar to if someone wears a shirt with holes in it vs someone not wearing a shirt. The cutout for the vents do stop about an inch and half from the ends but they try and make up for it with added holes on the bottom protector. (Picture above) The top protector is light enough where it doesn't pull or push my laptop screen down but this applies to the 9300. One customer said it does pull his laptop screen for the 9310 so possibly the different models are affected differently from the case. The laptop will close all the way if it's sitting how a normal laptop does sit. (picture above) The only time it doesn't is if you're placing it on its back hinge-like how I am in the picture. So it's not really a concern for me as it never sits in that position for myself. The plastic itself is technically a hardcover but is super thin and would probably crack or break if you were to drop your laptop. It clips on very easily and has no gaps when on the laptop which is something I really like since it's easy to remove if you wish to clean it and won't scratch the material on the laptop.

I was looking for a computer cover that was silicone but had a hard time finding one since I don't have a Mac. I also wanted something that would protect my laptop without having to put it in a sleeve in my bag. This cover stays in place and is sturdy. The color is fun and I haven't had any issues while traveling. I like that it keeps the slim design of my laptop intact so it doesn't take up much space.

As someone who tends to be fairly clumsy, and also despises the silver color of my laptop, this case is absolutely perfect. The case itself isn't too bulky but it definitely protects the laptop. While it does cover some of the fans, I've never had to take the case off because of overheating, even when running demanding programs or games for hours on end. The case stays on very well and doesn't get in the way when typing. It even helps me open the laptop by giving me a ridge to hold onto. The stand is also a nice touch. This case is definitely worth the money and I'd recommend it to anyone who takes their laptop everywhere. I carry this thing across campus nearly every day and I've yet to damage my laptop because of it. It's very lightweigh and is a less bulky alternative to the big pouches I see some people use.

I wanted to start off by sharing that I own two other iPearl Hard Shell Cases for my Dell XPS 13 9360 and also for my 2020 Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 and have been extremely happy with those products. This feedback is for the newly released shell for the new 2020 Dell XPS 13 9300 13.4 inch laptop. The problem is that the clips the hold the bottom half of the shell on the laptop do not allow the screen to fully open. With the shell on, you can only open the screen to about 90 degrees. Because the bottom of the laptop is angled forward, this means that with the screen fully opened, it faces slightly downward. You either have to elevate the front edge of your laptop or you have to look at the screen at a slightly downward angle. If you force the screen open, the clips will press on the bottom edge of the screen and potentially break it. I hope that this is simply a problem with the early version of the shell (this computer is a relatively new model) and that iPearl is able to tweak the design to fix it. UPDATE: iPearl refunded the cost of my case and the shipping. They also advised me to try and cut the "ears" off of the bottom of the shell with a utility knife to see if that allowed me to open my screen more. It is just about impossible to cut polycarbonate with a utility knife; the best that you can do is to score a line on the plastic. I was able to grind the ears off of the shell with a cutting wheel and a sanding wheel using a Dremel. The screen can now pivot past 90 degrees.

I love the computer I bought used, I normally get a 15' laptop but got this 13' because it is smaller and lighter and I love it but the school bought me a new 15' updated Dell, and it's my backup. This case is great and I love it. Get it and if I can I will get another for my 15' laptop if there is one for it.
