Description

Sent to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton as a baby, Kal-El was found by farmers Martha and Jonathan Kent and raised as their son, Clark. As Clark grew, the radiation from Earth's yellow sun gave him enhanced senses and extraordinary powers, including super-strength, super-speed, and flight. Now fully grown, he uses his powers to protect his adopted world as Superman. In the near future, after the Dark Knight comes out of retirement to fight crime once again, Superman is called in by the President to reason with Batman and quell the "ruckus" in Gotham City. Batman, however, has no plans to stop his war on crime. What results is an epic showdown between the two superheroes to determine the fate of the Earth.

The figure perfectly captures the art style of Dark Knight Returns Superman. That being said, the art style is not everyone's cup of tea. The figure comes with two sets of hands; fists, and open hands. It would have been nice to have some flying palmed hands, but this will do. The horse part, stand, and card did not interest me. I was not sold on this figure because of the head sculpt and the miss colored belt loops. I am a fan of the classic Superman costume, and heroic build. The figure was purchased with modifications in mind. With some paint thinner, I took the yellow paint off the belt loops. Then I bought a set of the Mafex Superman heads and my problems were solved. I just had to take the McFarlane neck peg out and put in a Mafex peg. It took a little time, and money, but it increased my enjoyment, and value of this figure. ... show more

At first I only bought it for the parts of the build a horse. But I. Hand ......dam I keep fiddling with it lol its beefy, detail with wrinkles, creases paint apps are good but thw sculpt is were its at. As for thw face well uts comic accurate. Im really enjoying thw figure posing him etc. IMo I recommend for comic fans, sups fans or if you just want a realy cool superman who looks imposing. ... show more

I love this figure, the whole build a horse thing is strange but the figure is great, it looks like it came straight from the comic, the only real problem with it is the fact that it suffers like many other figures do, 0 ab crunch, this thing leans forward like a rock leans forward... it doesn't lean forward at all. The package however.... I don't know if this happened because of the mailman or the damn truck it traveled in, the package has been EVISCERATED on so many levels, honestly not even the pictures do it justice, the poor box looks like it got mugged or beaten by high school bullies, and it especially stings because I KEEP MY BOXES, I know a lot of collectors don't keep them but I do and it just stinks but I don't think it would happen to someone else, I think it was just poor shipment on the mail peoples part. ... show more
