I suffer from major elbow pain; a function of spending half my life on an airplane. The seats are cramped and the arm-rests have no padding. As a result, I've developed chronic pain when pressure is applied to my elbows. I purchased these in an attempt to minimize that pain. These elbow pads work perfectly. Not only does the unique honey-comb padding completely eliminate pain, even applying full pressure on my elbows, but the material is luxurious and looks to wear nicely. I don't envision the padding will degrade any time soon. It seems that the padding is built to compress and expand quickly and repetitiously. I had a moment of buyers remorse wondering if I should have simply bought the pads (from this manufacturer) instead of the entire sleeve. I have finally concluded that I prefer the sleeve. While it is clearly more "visible" than a pad, and a bit on the warm side, there are two major benefits to the sleeve. 1. There's not nearly as much slippage or need for adjustment. These sleeves stay put. 2. Because I use them exclusively while flying, I don't have some strangers arm rubbing all over mine for a 6 hour flight. I'm very happy with this purchase. This is a nice arm sleeve. Mine ran just a hair long but otherwise the fit was good. It’s pretty good at what it does. Helps with elbow pain and keeps the blood flowing without being overly tight. The cushioning is great too to prevent bumps in the elbow. Good buy.

I purchased the McDavid 6500 HexPad Shooter Arm Sleeve several weeks ago and I have used it tons of time since then, I used to play football when I was younger, and now I kind of just play for fun with friends. A while back, I injured my elbow (my throwing arm) and it made it really difficult to throw more than a few throws without blowing my elbow out, so, I decided to give this a try. As soon as I got it, it fit perfectly right out of the box, I put it on and could feel some relief almost immediately. The first day I used it for football, I went from only being able to throw for a few minutes to being able to throw for an hour straight. Since then, my elbow has been improving significantly, and I only wear it when I play! Which tells me that not only does it help protect my elbow during play, it actually helps promote healing of my elbow while I am playing. It also stretches great, I have been working upper-body three times a week and have seen a noticeable difference in the size of my arm all around (originally, I was on the smaller end of a large) and it stretches to my arm's form perfectly. Not only does this offer excellent protection (the pad itself) and support, it also is very comfortable and is very reliable. If you are looking to improve your game, or protect your elbow, this is definitely the sleeve for you. Five stars. Will buy McDavid products again. ... show more

First I'll start off by saying that I was pretty unpleasantly surprised that this was only ONE sleeve. For the price, it's pretty outrageous. What I do like about the sleeve is that the fit is pretty accurate, and the quality of the pad. The pad definitely has some good impact protection, but can be ineffective at certain angles due to the geometry of the pads. The fit is pretty nice actually, other similar sleeves I used can become uncomfortably tight and sometimes cut into my arm; but this one fit very comfortably. These don't have silicone grip bands, but the fit is so good that during testing, the sleeve stayed in place during heavy athletic activity, including swimming. The material of the sleeve held up to abrasive surfaces like rocks and sand, and minor impacts. There are a few downsides besides just being sold individually. My number one gripe would be a lack of forearm padding. I frequently use similar padded sleeves for fall protection while cycling and trail running, and that was a feature I considered to be standard (along with being sold in pairs!). In looking to buy another sleeve, this brand was recommended to me over other brands. While the sleeve has some good points, I don't think it's worth the price per sleeve. ... show more
