Description

Mbs' Colt 90 is an amazing entry-level to intermediate mountain board that allows thousands of new mountain boarders and kiters each year to have a blast as they progress from beginners to winners. This year's Colt 90 includes several important upgrades that allow riders to advance a bit further before they're ready to upgrade their beloved Colt. To begin with, we've completely overhauled the Colt 90's wheels. By upgrading tires to Genuine MBS T1 tires with specially formulated high-rebound rubber material MBS has made this year's Colt 90 more than twice as fast as last year's, and by upgrading the Colt 90's tube material to high-grade butyl rubber we've reduced air loss and flats to little more than a memory. Other wheel improvements include Genuine MBS rubber-shielded 12x28mm bearings and MBS' Rockstar II hubs. Finally, to prove we are serious about allowing this board to be taken to higher heights we also upgraded its ats axles from 9.5 to 12mm to match the diameter of the Matrix. In addition to the obvious performance enhancements these upgrades offer they have made the Colt 90 more compatible with the rest of the MBS line so the choice to one day upgrade your hubs or trucks is as simple as that.

I bought this and hooked it to my windsurfing sail. I have been doing this with skateboards and windsurf sails for many years. 1000s of miles. My 1st Colt 90 was stolen in my car-top carrier last year. HAPPY to buy the same exact badass board!! Best ride yet. I can ride over any gravel and it is stable at high speeds under very high wind stress. Tires are lasting and can be inflated for minimum resistance. It also lets me now sailskate on grass and dirt parking lots and sandy beaches. I also use it to take dog for walks. My 55 pound pointer loves to rip me around town and I love slashing down the street at his full speed. Bonus; dog skating days when the winter streets melt leaving pile of sand and gravel all over roads, dog and I still get our runs done. Super Stoked!!!!!! ... show more

    • Turn radius is terrible
Turn radius is terrible. The only reason why I got it was for the trucks and tires. The board is run of the mill. I ended up adding a waterbourne surfskate adapter to get it to turn more.

    • My Dogs and I Love It!
I bought this board for kiteboarding and trail riding with my dogs. I was torn between ordering this, or the higher model up with metal hubs and upgraded trucks/bindings. I'm glad I went with this model as the plastic hubs seem plenty durable and the trucks and bindings seem just fine! My dogs have a blast running alongside as we ride around the neighborhood and down our local trails. The board rides surprisingly well on hard surfaces and it's ultra-quiet compared to skateboard wheels on hard pavement. Bindings remove easily with an allen wrench when you don't want to be locked into the board. ... show more

Hello. If you are a beginner mountain boarder or longboarder, than this is a great board. If you are a longboarder looking for a smoother ride on bumpy terrain or roads, this is a silly product that works perfectly but with some adjustments. First, the wheels. The wheels out of box are terribly slow for longboarding, and you will have to constantly be pushing. This is an easy fix, all you need is to inflate them to 50 PSI (the maximum recommended pressure) and they will ride very smooth. You can also buy sturdier rims for even faster riding. The bindings are not necessary for longboarding, but I recommend them as you can push just fine if you keep them a little loose. Another thing is the trucks on the bottom . You cannot adjust them! If you want to the nut will fall off. You will need to buy new bushings to make sharper turns, or take some off of different skate trucks. For mountainboarding, also a superb choice. The PSI is just right for downhill ridings, and gives good traction on dirt. It's a pain to carry up the hill because it's heavy, but as are all mountain boards. As for the bindings they are very comfortable the velcro is sturdy, but feels loose if you have smaller feet. I do not recommend keeping your bindings super tight all the time, because if your foot slips out you won't be able to put it back in properly. If you are serious about mountainboarding, spend the extra money on a better one, your experience will be funner. If you do not have the money for a higher end one, buy this one and later upgrade your bindings. Do not buy new bindings and this board at the same time, it is cheaper to buy the mbs core 94, if it's available. ... show more

    • Tires need new valve stems
Its a well made board, very tall wide and heavy. My board came with missing valve stem caps, deflated tires, and the valve stem itself pierced the box it came in so they were severely bent. They just threw that box into a bigger box, very lazy on their end to see damage and just rebox it. Trying to get a refund on this means lugging a box 4 ft tall back to the post office. ... show more
