Description

Dominator 3 piece long and heavy-duty pry bar set and rack, Part No. 14068. The Dominator curved pry bar set includes, a 48" and 58" long and a 44" long heavy-duty pry bars. These are ideal for any lifting or prying applications and their extended length makes it easy to access hard-to-reach areas. The heavy-duty Rack included provides convenient storage and quick access for the tools. The rack is made from durable 1/4" thick ABS material that is impact resistant. The rack can hang from a welded cabinet or attach to a wall with proper screws, (not included). It may also be hooked on a pegboard or slat wall using the appropriate hooks/fasteners, (not included). its 5° angled Pitch ensures the stored tools’ shafts and blades are kept away from the wall or cabinet. The pry bars consist of a hardened and tempered alloy steel shaft that runs from the lifting edge through the handle to the metal cap to deliver maximum durability and prying power. The black Oxide finish prevents corrosion. The capped end allows for striking without damaging the handle and serves as a shock absorber to reduce hand fatigue, while the patented two composite ergonomically designed handle delivers superior comfort and secure grip. Made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty.

The media could not be loaded. American quality pry bars. Good comfort grip. Look great. They are huge. Thick in the right places. Striking cap is a perfect size. Same as the icon at harbor freight but you get 2 more sizes. They are easy to use. And will never get lost on you.

This is a SERIOUSLY heavy-duty pry bar. Massive, the largest & heaviest bar I’ve ever seen. NOTE FOR PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS — if you use an OTC #6007 “lower control arm hook” (also sold off the tool trucks) this bar will NOT fit thru the hook’s eye. The 7/8” bar stock is BEEFY. I ended up returning the “Big Stick” bar for which this review is written (14124) in favor of the “Dominator 58C” (14120), which is 4” longer at 58” OAL vs 54”, but uses 3/4” bar stock. I was then able to heat the eye of my OTC control arm hook using a torch & expand it slightly to fit over the replacement bar. It’s much more useful to me because of this. As for either of the above mentioned bars, they have a high quality finish on both the bar itself and the handle. Chisel tip is pretty sharp given how large the bar is. Steel striking cap attached to a steel rod thru the handle makes sure the force of a hammer blow transfers. I know for a fact that Mayhew makes most or all of Matco’s bars, and possibly or likely they make the other major tool truck brands’ bars as well. Mayhew does warranty their items thru the vendor or thru their own website & customer service and they’ve been easy to deal with in the past. ... show more

    • Epic crowbar - buy it once, use it forever.

A crowbar is a fairly simple tool, but I have to decree that this is the best of the best. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money. Other crowbars of this length flex too much, this one (so far) has not encountered anything that sturdy. Pulls up boards with ease. Twists bent car metal with ease. My guess is that non-commercial bank vaults are no match for this tool. Any drawbacks? Yes - it arrived significantly dirty or oxidized??? I felt like it was covered in black printer toner cartridges dust. Black residue from the bar stock gets on absolutely everything. Normally I wouldn't care, but I don't want to get grime on literally everything I touched. Tried to wipe it off with a dozen wet shop towels, but there didn't seem to be any end to it, so I gave up. Be warned! Otherwise, toll is best of the best and will last generations. ... show more

Built like it was made to hold up a skyscraper, enough leverage to flip a car off a lift!!! What more can I say mayhew has an exceptional warranty but I would love to see someone break this monster!!! Good durable and strong metal great tool!!!
