Been really loving this Maybelline serum lipstick, especially in the shade Fit Check. It glides on so easily and feels super smooth and nourishing on my lips, not sticky at all. The color is a perfect mauvy pink with a little shine, and you can build it up if you want more payoff. I’ve actually tried other shades from this line too, both satin and matte, and I’ve had great luck with all of them! I absolutely love this lipstick! The shade Wild Card is a beautiful, classic red, and it’s incredibly flattering on my medium-deep, warm complexion. I’m a brunette, and I feel like this shade really complements my coloring. The formula is creamy and very easy to apply, with a gorgeous matte-looking finish. It also lasts a long time, which is a big plus. Just keep in mind that it can transfer, so try not to touch your lips too much or rub them against anything. I got the shade Upstate in the satin formula and it’s really nice. The shade itself is a cool nude that’s perfectly in the middle range of shade depth. The formula is creamy and comfortable without being too thick or heavy, with a nice healthy shine (but not glossy). It feels good on my lips - not sticky but still hydrating. The only reason I’m taking a star off is the wear time is not great… not that it claims to be long lasting or anything. So maybe that’s judging it unfairly? I just would like this shade and the comfort of the formula to last longer than 45 minutes (under normal workday conditions of talking and sipping water from a straw). Even still, the price is great and if the worst thing is needing to reapply throughout the day, I can live with that! ... show more

Amazing lipstick. Wild Card is very pigmented. A blue medium deep red. It is super easy to apply, it is soft and doesn't dry the lips. It is not stick, which is a no for me and stayed for 4h and that was because I ate fatty food. So, for me it is a good longevity because I reaply lippies after eating. It doesn't feather. This is a nice color. I’m medium hair with dark brown eyes and graying dark brown hair. This is a good color for me. A little on the dark side but sheer enough to not be too dramatic for the office. Color: 006 HOLD THE DOOR Size: 0.12 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Hold the Door is a very pretty medium mauve color. It's pretty pigmented, and I actually prefer to blot it a bit (I love Maybelline's suggestion to try that) for a soft, stained (and still matte) look. The lipstick feels comfortable. I wouldn't say it's super hydrating, but it's kind of neutral-feeling on the lips. I really love that this does not have a strong scent the way many Maybelline lipsticks have. (This is honestly the first Maybelline lipstick I've bought in several years because the scent they've been using tends to irritate my nose and throat. This formula has a much milder, more subtle vanilla scent that doesn't bother me.) The packaging is cute, and I like how the cap snaps in place so you know it's secure. It's a softer formula, however, and didn't fare the best in delivery. The lipstick was put in a huge padded envelope, and somewhere along the way it jostled loose and the tip got dented and damaged within the case. I scraped that little bit of lipstick mush out of the top and still have most of the lipstick left. (It had the safety seal intact, too.) But the way it was packed makes me hesitant to try more, at least via Amazon. If I find it for $8 elsewhere I may try a couple others, however. I give five stars for a nice, affordable lipstick, but knocking off one for it being shipped loose in a huge envelope. Edited to add: I've since tried the satin formula. That's amazing, like a balm but with fantastic color payoff. It's unbelievably comfortable and silky and lasts way longer than I'd expect something that comfortable to last. ... show more
