I had mediocre hopes at best for this foundation ;) I've probably invested $700 to $900 in foundations in the last 3 years and to say I've been underwhelmed is being polite. When it arrived, I was leery. The color online looked much lighter than what arrived at my house. Imagine my surprise when it was LITERALLY an exact match to my skin! You know those bacefook videos for the outrageously overpriced foundation that claims to be an exact match with full coverage? I swear on my son's PS5 THIS foundation IS the real deal!! I have had terrible skin changes in the last three years due to Lupus, menopause and weight loss. My pored are huge, my eyes have bags and my neck looks like I'm a turkey. I have rings around my eyes like a raccoon and red spots/red lines on my nose and one cheek that I haven't been able to cover. Since I can no longer go in the sun, add a ghostly pallor into the mix. See where I'm going with this quest for a decent foundation that doesn't sit in my giant pores, rest in my wrinkles, yet covers my pallor and weird spots without looking like paint? I've worn this all day, been in a zoom meeting and a WebEx and oddly, several people have told me how great my hair looks. I haven't even brushed it! I put mousse in and called it a day. It's this foundation, it evened out my skin, covered my raccoon eyes and made me look less like Casper and more like me!! Do not hesitate if you too are aging like a zombie, buy this stuff!!

“Finally, a foundation that doesn’t ghost me!” Y’all, I’ve been through more foundations than Taylor Swift has been through breakups, and let me tell you - this one STAYS. The True Match doesn’t just live up to its name, it’s like having a personal makeup artist who actually listened when you said “I want to look human, not like a circus performer.” The Good: Blends like butter on warm toast, doesn’t separate after 3 hours (looking at you, expensive brand that shall remain nameless), and the shade range actually includes people who aren’t vampires OR Oompa Loompas. The Reality Check: It’s not completely transfer-proof, so maybe don’t rub your face on your white shirt. But honestly, what foundation is? We’re not made of silicone here. Bottom Line: For the price of a fancy coffee habit for a week, you get a foundation that makes you look like the best version of yourself. That’s what I call a glow-up investment! 💫

I really love the finish of this foundation, I have dry skin so I can't go for matte light, but this has a finish that looks fresh and luminous, but not greasy. The texture is also great. You get good coverage without feeling like your skin is suffocating. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes I've noticed it can settle a bit into the fine lines near my eyes. That could be an operator error though!

I am completely and totally impressed with this foundation. I buy so many foundations, most of them high end, but I seem to want to try every one that Maybelline comes out with, because I think they have some good ones. (Yes, they have some duds, too.) This is better than most of the high end foundations in my collection. My favorite application method is actually my fingers. Usually two pumps does it. After I blend it out with my fingers, I take my It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Brush #7 and blend out the edges, then use the same brush and also lightly go over my face to be sure everything is blended well. My skin looks flawless. I would say this is a good medium coverage. I think you can build it up to a higher coverage, or you could use a concealer where you want more. For me, it's enough except for using a bit under my eyes. The finish is a natural one-not matte, not dewy. Very fresh looking. It holds up well throughout the day, and it looks great all through the day. (I do use a primer, but I use a primer under every foundation.) It may not be the right foundation if you are very oily. I'm more of a combination to dry skin. I don't detect any noticeable fragrance. I find myself reaching for this more than any other foundation. I will definitely repurchase it, and I would recommend trying it.

I want to like this makeup, it feels lovely and offers very nice coverage. The formula is super moisturizing. I'm 48 and have some fine lines, so I was hoping it would work really well with my skin. Sadly, within about 30 minutes, the makeup has settled into my fine lines. I do my best to not put too much product on my face and dab away any excess. I also set my makeup with a light dusting of powder. Despite this, the makeup settles into my lines. I can literally wipe the makeup from the lines. My point being, the makeup doesn't absorb, but sits heavily on top of the skin and happily settles into any crevice and nook on your face. It blends well with fingers or a brush, but it just doesn't work for my normal 48-year-old skin. Perhaps this would work better on a younger woman (20s. 30s) with dry skin.
