I don't hate this product but I don't love it either. The coverage for me isn't that great but I've had worse. The Bad: 1. I have a lot of redness and my skin isn't very smooth due to old acne scaring. My skin, however, isn't even as bad as some of the others I've seen, so I'd imagine it would be worse if you have moderate to severe acne scaring. This brand of makeup didn't really sit well on my skin and sort of slid around into the scars and made them stand out more. 2. I tried using a brush to apply it but dabbing it on lightly with my fingers and gently smudging it outward seemed to blend it better. But either way it just doesn't apply very easily (see 3 for reasons why) 3. The texture isn't really a mousse or foam. It tends to pill up and isn't as smooth as one would wish. Having said all the negatives there are also some great qualities The Good: 1. I know it's horrible but I'm so self conscious about my skin that I wear makeup when I go outside to walk my dog or workout and this makeup is light enough where it doesn't melt off or feel like you're wearing a ton of it. Goes on quick so you can be out the door in seconds. 2. It doesn't cover all the redness but it doesn't do a horrible job either. I could go out just wearing this and feel ok about it but generally I wear it over my liquid oil-free neutrogena makeup and it gives it a nice matte finish and covers up blemishes. ... show more

I have been using Dream Matte Mouse, classic ivory, for years and years. It has taken me from oily to combination to mostly dry skin and it still goes on beautifully. I apply over a light moisturizer, TAP the mousse with a fingertip and spread it LIGHTLY on my skin. It gives great coverage even with a light application and if I have a problem area, I just tap a little more there. I have NEVER had it accumulate in my fine and not so fine lines, and for yucks, tried to get that to happen. (Even my 97 year old mother used this, (definitely not fine lines) without caking and accumulation). To get enough accumulation to accentuate my lines I had to apply enough to make it look like stage make up, not anywhere near what someone should be wearing to go out in public. Love this.
