I’m giving this four stars because, for the price, the coverage is genuinely fantastic, but it requires a specific routine to prevent it from settling in fine lines. This has been a cult favorite for years, and now I understand why—it instantly brightens and cancels out darkness. The High Points (Why I Love It): Coverage Powerhouse: The pigmentation is superb. I have significant dark circles, and the shade 120 (Light) brightens my under-eye area beautifully. It takes very little product to do the job. Easy Application: The sponge applicator is fast and effective. I like that you can just tap it on and go, making it a great choice for quick morning makeup. Lasting Power: Once I set it properly (more on that below), this concealer stays put all day. It doesn't fade or wear away patchy, even in humid weather. The Drawback (Why It Lost a Star): Can Get Cakey/Crease: This is the only downside. If I apply it directly over dry skin, or if I use too much, it definitely emphasizes texture and can settle into fine lines underneath my eyes. It has a slightly thicker consistency than some newer formulas. 💡 Pro-Tip for Best Results: To get the most out of this concealer and avoid the cakey look, you must moisturize your under-eye area first. I use a hydrating eye cream and let it sink in for a minute. Then, I apply the concealer lightly and immediately press it in with a damp sponge or my finger. Setting it immediately with a small amount of translucent powder is non-negotiable—this prevents the creasing and locks in the smooth finish. If you can master the application technique, this is an unbeatable drugstore concealer for dark circles!

Nice concealer! Bought 120 wild guess works well concealing (darker as I age) inner area of eyes by bridge of nose. Covers little veins around nose and occasional breakouts. Fair skin not porcelain more neutral or yellow undertones. A good purchase. FWIW I wear minimal makeup when I’m going out over Vanicream daily facial moisturizer, new purchases Milani Blush makeup nude kiss blush inspired by another reviewer, thank you, under NYX professional buttermelt Feeling Butta Blush, ELF instant lift brow pencil neutral brown (could go darker) Maybelline lash sensational sky high mascara, ELF neutral eyeshadow palette no shimmer, and Maybelline color sensational copper charge lipstick. Oh have loved that Garnier under eye roller for years just feels good. A former high end makeup buyer, I appreciate reading reviews and trying products that feel and look good and are reasonably priced!

This concealer is okay, but it didn’t fully work for me. It does provide decent coverage and helps brighten the under-eye area at first, but as the day goes on, it starts to look dry. One of the main issues I noticed is that it settles into fine lines and makes them more noticeable instead of smoothing them out. Even with good skin prep, it can look a bit cakey and emphasizes texture. The applicator is convenient and easy to use, and I understand why a lot of people like this product. However, for my under eye area, the formula feels a little too dry and not as forgiving as I’d like.
