A little of this goes a long way. You have to be mindful not to apply too much of this on your brush, sponge, or fingertips. I normally wear a regular beige color like buff beige, but I actually got a tan going this year so needed a darker color. I’ve been using the fit me foundation as my “go to” for daytime use for about 3 years now. It’s very comparable to the more expensive brands but at a fraction of the price, and who doesn’t love high quality for a great deal? You do need to use a setting powder with this particular foundation because otherwise it will stay soft and or tacky on your skin. Use sparingly on your forehead otherwise it will look bad pancaky. It is buildable so if you feel it’s not covering your freckle or sun spot well enough just apply a little more on those spots OR dot with concealer, but make sure the first layer is dry first. I’m almost 50 yrs old and I don’t feel the need to build my foundation because with this one, after I apply my setting powder, that covers any spots that may have been visible. Here’s s tip: use your concealer AFTER your foundation, not before. I really like this product but I will tell you it’s not good for killer humid sweaty summer days. So no go for high temps: it basically melts on your face and you can’t wear sunglasses on a hot day with this. IS excellent for cold weather up to about 80 degrees. So it had its pros and cons.

This foundation offers a very natural, lightweight finish that doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Since it is oil-free, it does a great job of controlling shine for most of the day without looking cakey. The coverage is light-to-medium and builds easily. I am giving it 4 stars because it doesn't quite last the entire day without a minor touch-up, but for daily wear and the price, it is an excellent option.

I recently was made aware of that when you get older you can't wear Dewey makeup, which I love and I was needing to get a matte makeup that kind of disguises the pores a little, and this makeup does that. It's perfect coverage without looking too over made up so it's not full coverage but that's fine for me. The color is perfect and even though it's a matte makeup it doesn't make your skin look super dry which I hate. It dries down pretty quickly compared to a dewy makeup and as far as cakiness, I did not see a cake or look dry in any way
