A little of this goes a long way. You have to be mindful not to apply too much of this on your brush, sponge, or fingertips. I normally wear a regular beige color like buff beige, but I actually got a tan going this year so needed a darker color. I’ve been using the fit me foundation as my “go to” for daytime use for about 3 years now. It’s very comparable to the more expensive brands but at a fraction of the price, and who doesn’t love high quality for a great deal? You do need to use a setting powder with this particular foundation because otherwise it will stay soft and or tacky on your skin. Use sparingly on your forehead otherwise it will look bad pancaky. It is buildable so if you feel it’s not covering your freckle or sun spot well enough just apply a little more on those spots OR dot with concealer, but make sure the first layer is dry first. I’m almost 50 yrs old and I don’t feel the need to build my foundation because with this one, after I apply my setting powder, that covers any spots that may have been visible. Here’s s tip: use your concealer AFTER your foundation, not before. I really like this product but I will tell you it’s not good for killer humid sweaty summer days. So no go for high temps: it basically melts on your face and you can’t wear sunglasses on a hot day with this. IS excellent for cold weather up to about 80 degrees. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte is a great product. I saw it used by a person on YouTube who suggested it for even, matte, lasting,coverage for older skin. I tried it and have been using it ever since. I do use a primer under it. I have noticed it does not settle in fine lines, and does not irate my eyes. I have allergic reactions to eye make-up sometimes and this product does not cause any reactions. Also, it feels very pleasant on my skin, does well with any moisturizers I try, and is not drying. That said, I have not had much success with my orders from Amazon with this product. For years I used high end brands from Sephora with good results, however the Fit Me Matte is just as good. It sells out each day it is stocked in my local WalMart and Walgreens, better than doing without makeup I decided to order three bottles at a time so I would always have one on hand. My first order was combined with my monthly case of canned dog food. The glass bottles of makeup were loose in the box with the wrapped case of dog food so by the time it came to my door the plastic wrap on the dogfood was covered with makeup and shattered glass. I reported the problem to Amazon, they sent me makeup replacements. I sprayed off the dog food cans with the garden hose. 2 days later the new shipment of makeup arrived in a smaller box, but the glass bottles were not intact. Amazon asked for a return of the damaged products from the first shipment, so I am sending the bigger box that has the shattered glass and mess in it back. The second box I decided to chalk up to experience and try Target or Walmart again for my Fit Me products. Really, I work 5 days a week and it is more trouble than the $20.00 is worth to have to take off work to stand in line at the post office to return a second box. ... show more

Doesn't work with the dark circle concealer it makes it worse,but works with the yellow liquid if you put it on with finger above and below the eyes then this. Doesn't cover dark circles alone. Works good with the fit me powder but again just the two alone doesn't get rid of dark circles your really need the yellow then this all over be careful light soft dabs around eyes or you wipe it all off then the fit me powder.
