Bought this for our upcoming tent camping trip and will eventually use it in place of a mattress in camper. Bought the queen size so that me and my family can all sleep on it. It is comfortable and soft and I think it will definitely be warmer and more comfortable than an air mattress with no worries about deflation or feeling the movement of someone else in the bed. Beautiful design print and came with a zippered mattress sheet. Rolls up easily and fits in the carry bag easily. Seems to be good quality for the money and I feel that it will definitely be a valued camping purchase.

April 2024: I bought the moon and star version of this Futon in August of 2022. My husband and I had two kids at the time and I was pregnant with my third. We had never owned a futon mattress before but every room in our house was occupied and my husband developed a nasty snore. I needed something that I could roll out on the living room floor to sleep at night and then roll back up out of the way. It is surprisingly comfortable for being much thinner than the kind of mattresses that I am used to. To be fair, I like extremely firm mattresses. Having a pad on a carpeted floor is exactly what my back needs. I sleep better on this pad than my actual bed. The rest of my family also heavily uses this pad. Sometimes I can sleep in my own bed if my husband is only quietly snoring. When that happens I still have to put out the futon at night because I will wake up to one or two children on it. My two year old needed to stop sleeping in his crib earlier than his siblings did and he often seems to prefer this mattress for sleeping at night. Sometimes even my husband sleeps on this thing and, while he does prefer our mattress, he seems to sleep well on it. It is pretty beaten up by now but keep in mind this thing has been HEAVILY used by 5 people, frequently left out during the day and played/jumped on. My husband has extremely sharp toenails and the material is wearing thin down at the bottom where his feet tend to rest. I have managed to patch that area up without much fuss. This thing has been bled on, peed on, puked on, etc. and it cleans up really well. We don't put it in a washing machine or anything like that. We do spot clean it and often hang it up to air out. There isn't anything that I haven't been able to get completely out of this pad. I don't know about any of the other color options but stains just don't seem to stick to the moon and star fabric. Also, it does not hold onto smells. I think it might have something to do with the fact that this can easily be hung over a railing for a few hours here and there. Two years later after taking a huge beating by a family of 5, this thing is still comfortable. It's maybe a little thinner than when we first bought it but any mattress would be after what we have put this poor thing through. Whenever we manage to destroy it, because that's going to happen with the kind of use it gets, I will 100% replace it with another of the exact same brand and pattern.

Though advertised as a Twin, the dimensions are actually those of a Twin XL (80” long, not 75”, x39”). Because it’s so thin compared to standard mattresses, it shouldn’t make a difference if you use regular twin fitted sheets — those will fit even two of these futons stacked together (which you might try if you find one is too thin for you). If you plan to put them on a bedframe rather than on the floor, you should be aware of the length. It’s not a big deal; those extra 5 inches are more critical with thicker & heavier mattresses that you really don’t want hanging over the frame edge unsupported. But (now that I am getting a thick orthopedic twin XL mattress for a different room, delivery of which has been delayed a few days) I’m glad these futons are 80” long, so I can use them on my new XL frame before the new mattress arrives! How fortuitous. I love them, especially the stars pattern cover (my house has a bedroom with a starry sky they go great with). They are super for doing physical therapy exercises, yoga, etc on the floor, easy & quick extra sleeping capacity for visitors who are open-minded & spry enough to use a floor futon (not inflated like camp mattresses, no pump needed, no danger of deflation from punctures); so easy & light to roll up & take with you on camping trips, etc. Also ideal if you live in a tiny studio, just roll them up & store out of the way in a cabinet or chest in daytime, the way many Japanese do.

Great for kids. Maybe not best for prolonged adult use on the floor. I got this for kids’ to have slumber parties with their friends. And my 2 boys 10-12 have been ‘trying it out’ for 2 weeks and love it! Won’t stop sleeping on it. They asked us to try it 1-2 nights and my husband and I woke up w the worst cricks in our necks. If you are using this to augment a current setup. It would probably be better. But prolonged use on the floor for adults accustomed to sleeping in comfortable mattresses, perhaps not? Also-attaching this picture here since I was looking to see how much space it would occupy when put away. No mentions anywhere. I hope this helps others!!! The box that it comes in is NOT the box it goes back into! I’m assuming this is how it goes back given the length of the bag that was provided by the manufacturer. If I did this wrong. Let me know.

I bought this MAXYOYO Twin Size Futon Floor Mattress for my Twin XL mattress as a topper and I really, really love it. It's very comfortable and support to my lower back was what I was looking for. I have purchased several other toppers and none worked. Even bought a new mattress but this seems the value for money is quite approachable. The quality is top notch and there's no odor at all. The fit is perfect and although it'll stay put on my bed the foldability wouldn't be a problem.

It’s OK if you’re sitting on it, but that’s definitely not for sleeping. It’s really thin. I have it on my futon and it does nothing but slip off I have to consistently fix it and it doesn’t hold form.

I don't often write reviews but this buy deserves one. I've owned a very high end expensive mattress in my home for the last 6 years. I was recently away from home and needed a sleeping option. I bought this mat as I figured family members could borrow it when they came to visit. Sleeping on this thing for a few nights, I and my partner BOTH had the best sleep of the last 8 years! WOW! I got home to my overpriced mattress and I'm so terribly disappointed. I'm trying to figure out if I should convert my mattress for guests and just sleep on this thing on the floor. Absolutely excellent sleep and I am highly impressed. When I first saw it, it didn't impress much, as it looked thin and uncomfortable. I haven't slept this good in years. Excellent mat and worth every cent. It went from a temporary use to full time use too.
