Size: 27.5x2.60WT - 3CT, EXO+, E25

Color: Black

Features

  • MAXXIS MINION DHR II: With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the Minion DHR II offers excellent cornering and braking traction.
  • 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
  • EXO+: Builds on our EXO technology with the addition of a small butyl insert around the bead. EXO+ is ideal for trail riding in moderately rocky and rooty terrain, and is also suitable for lighter weight e-bikes.
  • E25: Tires with an E25 rating are suitable for light duty e-bikes with assistance up to a maximum of 16.1 MPH.
  • WIDE TRAIL: Optimizes the tires tread layout and profile to match todays modern, wider rims. Maxxis offers WT tires for everything from XC to gravity applications. A 30mm internal width rim is ideal for most applications, but WT tires can be used on rims ranging from 19mm to 35mm internal.
  • QUALITY GUARANTEE: 1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

  • Awesome Tire
Size: 29x2.40WT - 3CT, EXO+, E25 Color: Black
This is such a great tire. Very all purpose. I usually ride on the street to get to trails (2 miles approx) and it rolls great on pavement. More rolling resistance on the trail than the dissector, but its marginal. I popped my dissector Exo on a rock a week ago. Decided to get this minion ii EXO+. I like it so much better for my style of riding. It is a beast on steep climbs! GRIP CITY! Helps you keep a nice line when corning and going fast. If you like steering with your back tire braking, go with the dissector. As for EXO+ durability, dont know yet (but i expect great things, cant tell weight difference). I will update post later after more rides. Also, it was a little tough to get the tire on the wheel without the tool. I would advise getting a bead popper tool. Happy riding! ... show more

  • Never Falling Short
Size: 27.5x2.30 - 3CT, EXO, E25 Color: Black
I deliberately waited to review these. Long time rider, recent time reviewer. Can't say enough great things about these! MAXXIS has never let me down over the 20 years of riding. Recently picked up a new Full suspension Santa cruz Heckler from some offroad adventuring. The Minion DHR II are incredible, they really bite when i need it to. We have rolling mountain/hills of granite and quartz in our area, the composite of these tires really holds up to the rugged and sharp terrain. I love the depth that these have as side lugs making it an ease to power through and still maintain the momentum. this particular model has just the right amount of bite for the washouts we get that pool towards the bottom side in the dry creek beds while just shallow enough to maintain a well balanced roll resistance when pedaling to the next location. I bought another set for my hybrid, with my hybrid I am more cross country than down hill, still very please with the performance it provides on my environment in south west Oklahoma. MAXXIS has and continues to be my GO TO ... show more

  • Grippy, Spendy.
Size: 27.5x2.60WT - 3CT, EXO+, E25 Color: Black
Running this as a front in combo with a Rekon. It’s SUPER grippy, which great in my use case. I chose the DHR2/Rekon combo after reading an article on Maxxis tire combos, and I’m pretty satisfied overall. Works great on downhill stuff as well as trails, though it certainly isn’t the fastest combo out there. ... show more

  • Incredible traction, heavy duty construction!
Size: 29x2.30 - 3CT, EXO, E25 Color: Black
I run all mountain trails in PA, with lots of roots, loose rocks, larger rocks, and wet soil. The Continental X-Kings that my bike came with had constant issues with breaking traction, causing wrecks that really shouldn't have happened. They also were very prone to pinch flats. Nothing sucks more than sitting on the side of a trail 3 miles into state gameland changing blown tube as the sunlight begins to fade - except maybe the time my front end broke traction in a fast turn, causing me to wipe out and damage my front brake lever... When i received the DHR II and opened the box, i was instantly blown away by how much thicker and more durable the construction of this tire was, as compared the the Conti, whose sidewall feels like paper compared to the DHR II. Mounting the tire on my 29" rim was a piece of cake. I wanted to get out on the trail right away, so i didn't have time to convert it to tubeless, but i plan to. I knew i was in for a treat, just by running my hand over this tire. The compound is sticky and the tread is aggressive. An hour later, i was on the trail, and man did this tire perform! I shredded those rocky uphills without once breaking traction, and kept the rear stable and predictable on the downhills and turns. Braking could not possibly get any better - the tire digs in and gives great control on the downhills. I can't wait to get the DHF for the front, so i can hit the turns fast without my front end getting loose on me. If you're counting ounces on your bike, this is not the tire for you. If you want durability and maximum traction in rough terrain, stop shopping and buy this tire!! This is so far the most profound upgrade i have done to my bike. ... show more
