The best grippy front tire hands down
Set name: 29x2.50WT - 3CG, EXO+, E25
A couple years ago I had several washout crashes during hard cornering on my Trek Fuel-ex with Bontrager SE5 tires. After some research I installed the Assegai EXO+ on the front. The traction was like night and day. It runs a bit slower but the decrease in washouts is worth it. I am much more confident on the hard turns at speed. After 1000+ miles of hard trail riding I decided to replace it last week. The nubs were a bit worn but probably had another 1000+ miles left in them.

Grip and control second to none.
Set name: 29x2.50WT - 3CG, EXO+, E25
Might be one of the last people to ride Maxxis. I ride fast and technical trails and these tires never let me down. Dry or wet these tires stay on track here in the rocky California clay. I was hesitant with the speed rating but I haven't noticed any loss of speed. It's the cornering that set these tires apart. I keep pushing and they keep holding. Climbing up rocks and roots even when wet these tire outperform any tire I've ever ridden. If you can't tell I love these tires. This my third Assegai, I won't be riding anything else.
