Still worth it for the $ if you you're OK with <2000 mWh capacity
These looked like "leaked" batteries when taken out of the package, with obvious signs of corrosion on the outer case of the batteries. Upon a closer look that corrosion looked more like regular rust than dried up electrolyte or chemical corrosion. This is possibly due to moisture damage from improper storage/manufacturing process. Item packaging, though, looked OK, with no other signs of moisture damage anywhere else. All 4 batteries worked fine with actual capacities ranging between 1800-2000 mWh at 0.2A discharge rate. This is 70-80% of rated capacity, I was not impressed. Review by "Project Farm" on YouTube had these getting 1436mAh at 0.25A discharge rate and 1.4V (2010 mWh) which is more or less consistent with my tests, however, I was not getting a voltage drop at this amp rate, the batteries were able to always stay close to 1.51V all the way up to 1.3A where overcurrent protection kicked in (red LED blinking rapidly). Surprisingly, that overcurrent protection didn't always work consistently, and short circuit current of 2.6A was possible under some conditions (no LEDs blinking). One other consideration is that voltage output from these batteries is noisy. Not out of line with other power sources that use switching DC-DC converters, but definitely not as clean as the output from a purely chemical battery cell. This is something circuit designers of some battery operated equipment might not have anticipated. Your results may vary. ... show more
