I had originally reviewed these as a one star, they look great fit decently. I did have a leaking shock, but was sent a new set immediately and service like that is difficult to find today. I will continue to use MAXPEEDINGRODS on my builds.

I've always wanted a lower stance and more direct handling in my car, but I didn't want to spend too much on a track-grade suspension system, so I ultimately chose these height-adjustable coilovers. The most noticeable change after installation is a more sporty overall stance; the gap between the tires and wheel arches is significantly reduced, resulting in a much more visually appealing and sharper look than the stock configuration. Everyone has different needs when it comes to lowering the car, and these coilovers can be adjusted to individual preferences. Whether you're aiming for a slight lowering for everyday practicality or a more aggressive, low-slung look, there's a good range of adjustments. After spending some time finding the right height for me, I'm quite satisfied with the overall visual effect and driving experience. Compared to the stock suspension system that's been in use for years, body roll is significantly reduced when cornering, and the steering response is more direct. Especially on high-speed ramps or continuous curves, the improved body support is clearly noticeable. For Golf, Jetta, or Audi A3 owners who enjoy driving pleasure, this change is quite appealing. After receiving the goods, I inspected them. The red springs paired with the shock absorbers give them a sporty look, and the surface finish is quite neat. No obvious manufacturing defects or assembly problems were found during installation. For a product in this price range, the overall quality meets my expectations. In terms of daily driving, I feel it achieves a good balance between sportiness and comfort. Compared to the original suspension, it's definitely stiffer, and the road feedback is more direct, but it's not unbearably stiff. It handles daily commutes, weekend mountain driving, or attending car club gatherings well. This is quite important for users who want to improve handling while retaining a certain level of comfort. The overall character of the vehicle has also changed after installation. With the wheels and tires, the whole car looks more like a modified car while maintaining a clean and harmonious appearance. For those who like the German car modification style, this visual improvement is very noticeable. A professional four-wheel alignment is essential after installation, otherwise it will affect tire wear and driving performance. Secondly, the comfort level is indeed lower than the original suspension; minor road vibrations are more noticeable. Also, with the lower body setting, more caution is needed when going over speed bumps and steep slopes.

I am building an old 1966 VW Bug. I ordered. these Coilovers Suspension Kit for that car. I have had to do a little fabrication and a bucketload of welding to get them to fit right, however it was well worth the time and effort. I have had to do this in what little spare time I have, and as stated... was well worth the time and effort :O) The quality Is top notch and the installation, once all of the fabrication had been done, was easy to take on and off. (which I have had to do several times as different aspects of the build have required me removing these Coilovers. (When I got these I jumped a few steps and had to play with my new toy.) :O) I Have had to remove them for paint and then for road hazard protection coatings, engine installation, and a dozen other things that should have come first. :O) These coilers has dramatically raised my ride height, which with a Bug is never a bad thing :O) I am not a light man 250ish lbs. Jumping up and down on the bumper (which also has been taken on and off I don't know how many times) These coilers have been tight, had little to no noise and gave me a sense of tight security. I have no issue at all in recommending these to anyone wanting to lift their suspension a little while at the same time, addinig a little flair to their ride.

Suspension upgrades are one of the few modifications that fundamentally change how a vehicle feels every time it is driven. Because of that, I tend to evaluate coilovers based not only on ride height adjustment, but also on manufacturing quality, adjustability, corrosion resistance, installation design, and overall value. These coilovers impressed me in several areas, particularly considering their position within the budget performance suspension market. The first thing I noticed was the overall construction quality. The threaded shock bodies feature clean machining with well-defined threads that allow for smooth ride height adjustment. Poorly machined threads are one of the most common shortcomings of budget coilovers because they can become difficult to adjust after exposure to dirt, moisture, and road debris. The threads on these units appear consistent and substantial enough to withstand regular adjustment without excessive wear. The powder-coated springs provide both aesthetic appeal and practical protection against corrosion. Suspension components are constantly exposed to water, road salt, dirt, and temperature fluctuations, so surface protection is important for long-term durability. The finish appears evenly applied and contributes to a professional appearance once installed. One aspect that deserves particular recognition is the level of ride height adjustment available. The design allows owners to dial in a stance ranging from mildly lowered to significantly more aggressive setups. I installed these on a VW GTI because I wanted to lower the car while improving the handling at the same time. They completely changed both the look and the way the car drives. The fit was excellent. Everything bolted directly to the factory mounting points, and installation went smoothly without any modifications. The height adjustability is one of the best features. I was able to dial in the exact ride height I wanted instead of settling for a fixed drop. It's nice having the flexibility to fine-tune the stance later if I decide to make changes. The handling is noticeably improved. Body roll is reduced, the steering feels more responsive, and the car feels much more planted through corners while still remaining comfortable enough for everyday driving. The red finish looks fantastic, and the overall construction feels heavy-duty and well made. Everything arrived looking like quality components, and all of the hardware fit together perfectly. Overall, these are an excellent suspension upgrade. Great fit, quality construction, useful adjustability, and they completely transformed both the appearance and performance of my VW.

Have had these on my MK5 for 3 weeks and so far everything is holding together. It's a pretty good suspension for the money, easy to install if you have the tools or even easier to pay a shop to do it. It rides very nice, looks great if you're worried about that kind of thing. Be prepared to swap top caps over, other than that now worries.
