  • Easy to install, smoother ride

I like the look and the way my car rides.

  • Great fit & great look.
Size: Civic 2001-2005
These are great coilovers. They were easy enough to install and are just the look I was looking for. I have my ride at just the light hight that I need and are easy enough to adjust. So far, they are good quality and I don't hear any squeak from hitting bumps after 2 weeks from install. I definitely recommend them. ... show more

  • A good cheap coilover option for the 7th gen civic!
Size: Civic 2001-2005
They look great and lowered the car enough to close the wheel gap. But a little bit more bouncy ride than I expected. Other than that, it’s an easy install and adjustability is a breeze!

  • Great value here, if you are going to go cheap these are a good set
Size: Civic 1989-2000
This review is for maXpeedingrods Coilovers. IN the box you receive 2 front and 2 rear coilovers along with some metal inserts as well as some metal washers that are for different cars. You may or may not need these parts. It also includes 2 wrenches for locking and adjusting the coilover height. They fit many different vehicles, basically any Honda Civic between the year of 1992 and 2000 can run these as well as some years of Integra and CRX. Everything feels solid to me. All metal parts as you would expect for these. All the parts went on easily other than the fork but that just needed a big metal hammer to fix it. The front coilovers are about 3 inches shorter than the stock ones when they get to you so I would expect about a 3 inch drop in stock form, adjust accordingly. One thing I really liked is these come with a bracket for your brake line which is almost never the case when buying a budget set. That is awesome and much appreciated. I have not yet had a chance to ride on them as the car is not street ready yet but the overall fit and finish of them seems nice to me and they did not give me any stress yet. These come pre-set at a certain height. They all seem to be setup the same so that was nice. I spun them 12 turns out to give less of a drop personally. In stock form if you install them you will see something around a 2-3" drop from stock height which is a ton. You will be nearly rubbing fenders which might be the look you want, so just an FYI. A tip for you when installing these. When you are ready to drop the car put blocks of wood underneath the tires. This way when you drop it your jack has extra room in case the car gets too low for it. You could trap your hjack underneath the car without doing this. Do not touch the top lock nut or adjust the top at all unless you know exactly what you are doing. The springs come pre-loaded already. If you want to change the height of these you need to do it on the bottom parts by spinning those before you install the coilovers. Once they are on the car the way you adjust the height of these is you break loose the bottom lock nut and move it up a bit. Then take the spanner wrench and turn the top lock nut tighter to go higher, but do not turn the very top one that adjusts the spring. The lock nut I am referring to is the one that locks the spring adjusting nut. This will turn the body of the coilover and adjust the height. It is a confusing thing to explain through text. Something I noticed with these is the maXpeedingrods website instructions state you need to pre-load the suspension with a jack by jacking it up to around the point it would sit when on the ground before tightening all your bolts up like the top bolts and the lower control arm bolt. However if you look at many videos installing these, including ones from maXpeedingrods themselves, they do not do this pre-load at all. So I am not sure what is required here. I wish this were more clear in the instructions. From additional research I have done I believe you do need to do this pre-load although it is not included in the kit instructions. Overall they are a pretty good set of budget coilovers. They have a good reputation among people trying to save money. One thing you should not do is fool yourself into thinking these are as good as a brand that is 2-4x the price of them. They are not. But they are still good for most people that just need something to get a drop and decent stiffness. On the track you are going to be better off getting something more expensive but these are great. Especially when replacing old stock hardware or even some clapped out coilovers that no longer work. The price point of these coilovers is great but if you are looking at these I would highly suggest spending a little bit more for the adjustable dampening versions. They are superior to these but this set is nice too, you just lack the adjustability the others offer ... show more

  • Edit: problem solved!
Size: Civic 1989-2000
I loved these coil overs at first, they did there job good… until I had to contact customer service! They would not replace my rear strut whenever it all fell apart like a lot of these other people have had happen, but that’s not the kicker.. they are saying it can only ship from china and it will take almost a month to get here! I can’t wait that long to have my car back!!! THEN ontop of that they tried to get me to PAY myself to have it shipped! Awful awful. DONT GIVE MONEY TO THIS COMPANY. Go get racelands with a lifetime warranty! EDIT::: they got me a whole new strut shipped out and did work with me. I’m upping my stars. Not 5 stars cause I still had to pay for part but it was slightly discounted. EDIT #2:: I just received my replacement strut, and go to open the package and BOOM… whole new set. I would purchase again. Company stands behind there product. Just may need to pull some teeth but I really do like my coil overs. ... show more
