These pieces work fine, and achieve their purpose; however, when assembling, the fasteners don’t hold the sticks together, leaving them to fall out until you stick in the ground. While I understand that this design makes them more versatile, some string within that could be cut to the desired length would make this a five star project. Also, the clips do not fit over the fasteners, but the gap between the fasteners isn’t long enough to clip on either side. Product needs some fine tuning. ... show more

If you use the correct number of sections, they work great and are very sturdy. If you for some reason decide to short each hoop by one section, then they will in fact snap. Judging by past comments that seems like a super hard concept for people to grasp. They are cheap, but work well for what they are asked to do. The plastic clips should be fit on to retain your plastic sheet/netting/shade cloth in a gingerly manner, one side at a time. Again, not hard to see give the material in your hand. ... show more

These are very light weight. If they are use for a low cover (4 poles), too much flex causes them to brake. Those that are higher (4-5 poles) seem to be hold up. Not sure I would purchase again.

I bought two sets because I had various locations of varying sizes but, to my dismay, when I needed to use the last two sections of one set and the rest from the next set, they didn't go together, the poles/sections were two different sizes, as were the connection pieces - so, I could use the larger connector with the smaller sections but, I could not, obviously, use the smaller connections with the larger poles. Making matters worse, the hoops don't appear to stand up to winds of Arizona, even the hoops where the first and last sections were seated almost the entire length. Unfortunately, when they come apart, they fly great distances leaving me to comb the yard looking for the connectors which have been found 50'+ away. So, now I have the larger diameter sections and the smaller diameter connections leaving me no way to use more than half of what I originally ordered - I will need to buy another set and hope that it matches one of the two. ... show more

These will not stay together until they are bent and placed in the ground. Because the poles slip so easily from the metal rod, bending them to put them into the ground is nerve wracking because I wasn't certain the pole wouldn't pop free and smack me in the face. I love that these work for what I needed, but the fiberglass gets into your fingers while assembling :( So, I do recommend that you wear thick gloves, if you can. But, overall, they are holding my shade cloth over my lettuce raised bed wonderfully!
