So I really didn’t want to turn away from my Swiss Gear backpack but it had too much added weight even before being packed, and after years of use was starting to tear. This backpack popped up on my Amazon feed with plenty of reviews and looked appealing. So like the headline end of the day it’s a backpack and is able to store what I need, but I do find myself having to compromise compared to my original bag. This bag ended up being somewhat smaller than I’d hope and I could get the larger size in time before I left home (currently studying abroad). I believe the bag said it features easy TSA access for computer in the back (so it can open fully flat) but it does not. My 2022 XPS 15 within its pretty slim case makes the bag bulge which I wasn’t expecting (but it does fit in the main compartment) not the laptop portion which I use my iPad for. I do wish it had a few more extra pockets (for organizing small items coins, chapstick, packs of gum etc.) I find myself just throwing small items I want w me in pockets compared to my last bag. Also would like a bit more cushioning inside (as I have to carry my newer epipens and worried ab damage compared to my old bag) But if I was to overlook everything above… I CANNOT stand the elastic bottle holders on the side. They are way too short and don’t provide enough support for my water bottle. Idk how many times I’ve taken off my bag to rest it on my lap and it just pushes the bottle out. The bottle net needs to be increased in length up the side of the bag or an additional strap added slightly higher up to slip (maybe longer) bottles into. My water bottle is always tilting when I walk and so I most often just carry it in my hand. If I WAS to repurchase I’d go for the larger bag. And also wish the company didn’t show the bag opening wide for travel. I do like the build, the grey color, even w most of my items I used to carry the weight doesn’t feel excessive. Just hope this bag lasts me a few years.

I recently bought this laptop travel backpack for my 15.6" Lenovo Legion 5 and it has been a great purchase so far. I deliberately chose to wait some time in order to make sure I could give it the test of time and I must say it was an amazing investment. I use it not only for my traveling but also for my schooling activities as well. Some of the notable features of this backpack include: Great for traveling and school activities Good for light rainy days Well made and good quality Great price point Very nice Design This backpack is a great fit for my laptop, however, there are some minor complaints I have. As I mentioned, I got it for my Lenovo Legion 5 15.6" and I got the equivalent size for the backpack and while I must say it does in fact fit in the back laptop pouch, the corners of the laptop are a bit too sharp and you have to pull up the backpack edges in order to close it, this isn't a big issue but I should mention that if it bothers you, I would recommend getting the 17" variant and you should be set. Another minor problem could be that the bottom of the backpack doesn't seem to have any soft material for holding the laptop down, this isn't a big issue either but if your backpack falls with the laptop inside of it, it could potentially cause harm but that is highly doubtful in my opinion. This backpack is very well made and the quality is much to brag about especially at this price point, I couldn't recommend it more.

I just received this backpack so I'm assuming it will hold up over time as others have indicated. Overall, I'm happy with the material it's made from, the zippers, and its light weight. I like the almost invisible side zippered compartment and the small zippered compartment on the back. It's replacing a backpack that I've had for over 18 years and loved, so I doubt that I'll find anything that I feel is "perfect". I had to buy the larger size backpack in order to get the width I needed to carry standard size file folders with the long, folded side down and for other things that I carry. This backpack is 19" tall which is taller than any I've ever had, so I'm not sure how it will fit under the seat in front of me on an airplane (I travel a lot). It'll probably be ok if I don't stuff it full. What prevented me from giving it 5 stars is that it doesn't have a reinforced bottom on the outside, so there's no extra padding for my laptop and nothing to take the brunt of the backpack sitting on rough surfaces. It would have been nice if the small, zippered compartment on the front was deeper. It's only about 6 3/4" deep and there's extra space where they could have lengthened it by several more inches. I'm not crazy about the idea that the back compartment opens up flat because I don't feel that I can put things in that section that might fall out; so if there had been an additional large zippered compartment (even a mesh zippered compartment) in that section, it would have been nicer. Despite the negatives, I think this will be an adequate backpack for my needs.
