This is a product that I wish I would have bought long ago. It took me hours last year to put fence posts around our garden and I was exhausted after hammering. I purchased this to put six foot posts in our new property. I tried hammering and due to rocks, couldn’t get the posts in. I went back after I got this, and wow! Not only did I get all the posts in, I added more. It takes about four strikes to get posts in. It’s simply amazing how easy it is to use. I’m 63 and had no issues using this at all. Put the hollow end around the post, raise up and down and the post is in the ground. It’s so simple its amazing. I would suggest wearing ear protection as it is very loud. I highly recommend this if you are putting any posts in the ground. We have very rocky ground in NC and it worked perfectly. This is worth every penny I paid! ... show more

It did exactly what it was supposed to. I accidentally slammed it into the fence post at a weird angle a few times and some paint chipped off, but I'm pretty sure that mistake was on me. Product was exactly as advertised.

When I read that someone else had the handle break off after one use I worried but read the other reviews and went for it. Arrived today, been waiting to get my fence put up while the weather is nice, well guess what? The lower part of one handle does not have a solid weld to the base at all, as you can see it looks like all it would take is one good pounding on one solid metal post to take that handle right off. I am returning it faster than I received it. Guess I'm heading to Lowes for something to find another to use asap before this rare nice fall weather is gone. Was hoping to save a trip, nope, what a bummer. ... show more

I didn't take the time to do the math. My sign posts are 2" square, and JUST too big for this to do what I wanted it to do. Whatever the inside diameter of this might be is too small for the hypotenuse of the outside dimensions of my posts. Keep that in mind when you are planning your project. I'm sure it would have driven the posts in perfectly, but now I have to find another way to get it done. ... show more

I use this on my farm and it's perfect. Be very careful though when using because it is VERY heavy and it is easy to crack your head open when lifting off a pole.

Great. I had to drive a few 2” x 6ft green stakes into the ground to support a few birch tree saplings which started growing at a angle. I used to use the old method a 4x4 and sledge hammer. This driver makes it soooo easy even at 6 ft. Granted it was drizzling and I was driving them into grass around a stump. But each on took about 5 hammers to go down 12+ inches. It’s heavy duty and not to heavy, but enough to make it very effective. ... show more
