Very easy to set code! I gave 4 stars because the lock is a bit hard to get open once you put the code in. It takes some practice to get the motion right.

The fact that is TSA approved didn’t mean anything. On my first trip, it disappear from my suitcase. I don’t know what happen, but it could be opened and taken.

I ordered 2 black since that color was the least expensive. Received one black, one navy blue!! Thank you. Amazon didn't have to do that. The instruction sheet is easy to follow. 0-0-0 is the default combination. You pull right side of the cable out. Press the dot underneath with a pointy object (I used a pen) and pick 3 numbers from 0 to 9. Little tricky to do it since you will need to use both hands. The lock wants to slide on kitchen island/table. But, doable. Then, insert the cable and move the numbers. Airport security agent can use his/her key and open it if it is necessary. Take a note of the 3 digit number so that you won't forget it. You can always pick a different set of numbers. If your bag/ suitcase is stolen it is not too hard to cut the cable with the right tool. This is just for temporary security. (great idea if you are walking around in Europe with a small backpack which should be in front of you. Thieves are so good when you don't see your back!!!) Not 5 stars yet. Time will show. I am pretty confident I will get many years. I have been using Master Locks forever. Cheaper locks are available. But, you know the old saying................. ... show more

I babysit a 15-month-old inquisitive baby. One day while I was retrieving her pacifier from the next room, she had figured out how to unzip my backpack and was unloading it. Fortunately, I was only gone seconds but I started thinking that I needed to babyproof my bag. I use these locks to keep the zippers from being unzipped. The first time I used the locks, she noticed them immediately and spent about 15 minutes examining the locks, pressing everything that looked like a button but couldn't get in my bag. She went back later and tried again without success. I am happy that I can now turn my back on her for 30 seconds and my bag will stay closed. Clearly, I cannot speak to the hardiness of the locks, but they are heavy and a little tricky to open which suits me fine. ... show more
