After reading the reviews about the lids molding easily, I decided to seal the lids with food-grade mineral oil. It was really easy to do. The lids look great and work well for the wide mouth mason jars I have. I am hoping that by treating the lids like a cutting board and sealing them every so often, I will not experience the mold issue. I will update my review if the mineral oil does not help.

Seemed like a well designed good option but covers became super moldy in less than 2 weeks. Only used it to cover jar filled with water. Understand it’s wood but it should be sealed to prevent mold.

These fit perfectly, they’re easy to clean, and so pretty. I LOVE that they’re not plastic, we’re trying to avoid plastics everywhere we can, especially when it comes in contact with food/drinks. Before these bamboo lids I had a regular metal mason jar lid that we just drilled a hole in and it is so nice having these lids because there’s no more metal clanking on metal sound whenever I drink my water anymore! My kids have little glass cactus cups with a silicone ring that separates the metal lid from the straw (so... quiet) but it’s hard to keep them clean, mold easily grows under the silicone and they’re difficult to remove for cleaning purposes without tearing them and we’ve had to throw several away and now they have the same clanking straw problem. These bamboo lids have no ring like that to catch germs, they’re so much easier to clean! I love them and plan to buy more in the future. I have the wide mouth lids with steel straws and use them with my 24oz Ball jars, they’re tall and skinny so they make great drinking glasses! I’d like to try the regular mouth lids and bamboo straws next time.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted an attractive lid to put on my jars to store powders and seeds and these are perfect! They seal nicely and have an audible ‘pop’ when removing but aren’t difficult to take off or clean. I’ve taken them on and off quite a few times and they have held up well so far.

The product itself is great, nice fit on my small mouth jars. Giving 3 stars because one of the lids is broken and it's really inconvenient to return. UPS does a terrible job of letting you know they are at your door. Would have given 5 stars if there was a way to message the seller and have just the one replacement lid shipped instead of sending off the whole lot. All in all customers should not have to go through this whole hassle if the lids were properly checked. I understand it's holiday season and there is stress and a rush from every direction, but just give your lids a good look through before shipping them out yeah?

I'm reviewing the closed lids, without the straw. The ones that are used in reusable glass jars to replace metal lids, for food storage. I got them to fit salsa jars that I was reusing that couldn't fit normal Ball lids because the threads were too different. I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. The lids work, yes. The lids fit, yes. But if you use them on jars to store FOOD, like seeds, nuts, flour, whatever, they make the food taste disgusting. These lids ruined pumpkin seeds, cashews, sunflower seeds, and macadamia nuts - about $25 worth altogether - by making everything taste like treated bamboo, before I realized what the lids were doing and stopped using them. It doesn't matter how thoroughly you wash the lids, everything stored in the jars topped with these lids will taste like that: nasty, bitter, treated bamboo. 2 stars instead of 1 because at least you could use the lids for non-food items, like storing spare screws, bolts, plastic pieces, anything that wasn't going to be used in food. That's what I'll need to use them for so as to not waste them. In the meantime, I have to repurchase a bunch of nuts and seeds!

I feel like such a kitchen nerd going off about these little lids, but they truly are great. They are air tight and make for easy opening/closing of jars. We've use them on mason jars to store nuts and seeds. They look so nice. I purchased the additional pack of labels as well, because I loved the labels that came with these lids. They are easy to clean and reuse; just wash them when you wash the jar. I have not tested how well they hold up in the dishwasher. So far hand cleaning is great.

These lids were the perfect find. The box comes with 2 wide-mouth lids and 2 silicon straws. Lids screw on easily and tight. Silicon gasket adapt my jar well, easy to take off when it is time to wash the lids, and are equally easy to put back when everything is clean and dry. Have washed allot and no rust or any complaints.The colors are bright and cheery. Juice, Milk, Coffe, Coke, really enjoys using them for my summer drinks!
