This actually is cotton and spandex as indicated in the listing, which I cannot say for many other clothing items purchased on Amazon. The fabric is soft and beautiful , well made and simple with pockets. It is very comfortable to sleep in and easy to change positions in bed without getting punched up under me as other woven cotton gowns do. I ordered two more and all in a size larger than I usually buy to make sure it’s big enough and to allow for shrinkage. ... show more

I am always worried about ordering clothing items off Amazon. I haven't always had the best of luck. I expect one thing, and get something that was designed for short, rather tiny people. Be that as it may, I took a shot and figured a gown would provide some middle ground. I wasn't disappointed this time. The gowns are not quite floor length, I'm 5'7 and they hit me just below the ankles. it makes for a flattering fit for my figure, as a curvy female. I ordered the XXL , in multiple colors, going by past reviews and it worked out well. They don't shrink when washed and dried. The material is light enough to be comfortable in bed. The only thing I would change (this is why I gave it 4 stars), and may do this myself, is putting in side slits to about the knee. The material is soft enough that it's not restricting when sleeping, but it's simply my preference. Definitely recommend purchasing! ... show more

    • Adorable but 3 grumbles
1. The fabric is quality but it’s fairly warm. Contradicts a spaghetti straps which would be for hot weather. Please don’t make me hurt my brain when deciding to wear a silly dress! 2. The metal strap buckle thingies that lengthen or shorten the shoulder straps land in the FRONT. Why? That should be like never! Looks ridiculous, cheapens it, and makes this dress a home or errand dress vs anything you’d wear for real in the world. If I lengthen it as much as I dare (not looking to spill the girls out) they land on top of my shoulders, also weird, but the look is less cute. And I’m a super standard fit body type! If you want a bohemian low cut like the pics you’re good to go. But a because the straps are closer together it somehow gives a sleazier look. I’ll likely cut them shorter and stitch it up. 3. Baggy hips and belly fabric. This dress is great for girls with wide hips. I am not that, I’m kinda a mannequin proportions so this is unusual for a dress. Add the pockets in casual fabric and yeah, it’s all a bit saggy and less elegant in the hip and front belly area, taking this dress down a peg or two. 3.5 Kinda a thing is that the dress is pretty long (a small hits my 5”7” ankles about 3” above those bulbous ankle bones that stick out). With no slits, which I like, it means regular walking is totally fine but longer strides you can’t do. The dress limits your gate. I can live with that but linger legs this might not work for. Still, it’s a super cute dress. The narrow placement of the straps (closer to your neck than the standard strap positioning) is flattering on my broader shoulders and it makes the dress a little unique. Fabric is soft but sturdy..definitely decent quality. Feels like mostly cotton n some spandex or the like. And it’s decently flattering for a cheap comfy dress. ... show more
