It's an Excellent product, works every time, and is easy to work with. Just remember to measure each part in separate cups on a scale for equal measuring; that will make each pour perfect and cure like It's supposed to.

I wanted to make a mold of a rock. First time ever using silicone and I was so impressed with how easy it was! Easy to mix, no smell, cured within 12 hours. I wasn't sure how a deep mold would cure, this was about 5 inches deep and it cured very solid, clear and with minimal bubbles. I'm hooked, lots more molds are about to be made! ... show more

I like the color. And the viscosity is easy to work with. I've made a few molds now and all of them have failed, but I don't think it's the silicone's fault. Pretty sure anyways, because I think the items I was making a mold of were made of stuff that reacted to the silicone and made it never set properly. I was trying to make molds of 3D printed objects from a resin printer. I guess 3D UV resin can't be used to make molds... which is what I bought a 3D printer for.. so I'm a bit upset but I think I can clear coat and it might work.... anyways.. everything left in the mixing cup and all the silicone not in contact with the objects all set perfectly and seem to be a nice semi-firm silicone that will make lovely molds once I find the right mix of materials to make molds from. My only complaint is that the bottles this come in, have super wide necks and they suck for pouring from. It's really messy and it's impossible to pour either part without having to wipe off a glob of goop from the threads. Every other silicone I've gotten has had much more narrow bottle necks that allow for a more controlled pour and usually I can just do the twist pour and I won't get any goop on the threads. I prefer that a great deal more than these bottle necks. Besides that though, this seems to be a great product and it's got a very low price compared to many of the other listings on here. So that's a big part of why I got it. I recommend this to anyone trying to save a buck who also wants some really nice to use silicone. ... show more

    • Works perfectly if you follow the directions
This stuff is pretty good. After weighing out the portions carefully and mixing them thoroughly it poured like a dream. The next day the resulting mold separated from the pattern as easily as one can expect. I poured my heat-cure one-part epoxy into the mold and baked it overnight at about 230°. Next morning, after cooling off, the casting came out of the mold with no issues and fine detail was transferred faithfully. This isn’t rocket science. If you actually read the directions and follow them faithfully this will work just fine. If you refuse to read and follow the directions and do it your own way because you already “know how to do it” then you lose your right to complain and just sound silly. I happily give this Mold Making Kit 5 stars and will buy it again without hesitation when I need more. ... show more

This is a really good product. Used it to make a soap mold and it came out pretty good. In open honesty this is my second purchase, first time i had a learning curve adjustment. Nothing 'wrong or 'bad' about the silicon but learning on how to handle it and make my mold with this silicon charactaristics in mind.. Sturdy and it is firm and not brittle. The transfer of details is very impressive the tape used left detailed imprints on the mold as shown on the pictures. It doesn't bother me, if shopping for a mold that needs fine detail transfer, this is your silicon of choice. On down fall for me, it was on the thin side very vicious when fully mixed. That means its able to sip through seemingly small 'invisible' cracks in the mold. Learnt that the hard way on my first purchase. I had to stir it for alittle over 10minutes as I waited for it to thicken up a bit. It barely thicken. But it cured within hours and came out of the mold easily a day later. I am impressed and will buy it again! ... show more

When making a resin mould, this stuff does not dry internally. It does not capture any of the details. A big mess when opening it up. Like the title says, this stuff is garbage.
