  • Possibly my favorite game ever
I’ve been playing games for 40 years on every platform and this is right at the top of my list for favorite games ever. I’ve played it through 3 times and I rarely replay games. I’m often not a huge fan of long games, but I’ve spent about a hundred hours on each play through. The only other game I’ve come close to playing as much is Balder’s Gate 3. I’ve bought this game on PS5 and PC and bought the season pass for both. This game has some of the best DLC ever—it’s essentially a second campaign with new heroes, enemies, mini-bosses, mission types and gameplay mechanics that are fully integrated into the main game (the same as this developer did with their X-com 1 and 2 DLC). I love this game, the card based battles are amazing, there’s lots of depth and strategy to the gameplay, and all the heroes feel unique and like the comic book heroes they are. The animations are brilliant and the character designs and graphics are beautiful. The story is really well done, with lots of very well done cinematic cutscenes. The banter between the heroes in combat is great, and all the dialogue throughout the game is voice acted. This is the best Marvel game and probably the best superhero game (the Arkham series is amazing, but I’d take a sequel to this game over another Arkham game). This truly is a fantastic game, and as a massive X-com 1 and X-com 2 fan, I’d still very much rather have a sequel to this game. Highly, highly recommended. ... show more

  • Fantastic Game
Absolutely worth it. My husband & son played through the entire game. They enjoyed it thoroughly. Highly recommend

  • Surprising Amount of Depth
I originally borrowed a copy of this game from my local library thinking I wouldn't like it because of the card based battle system, but I was wrong. It's not a typical deck builder and somehow manages to feel like a superhero game despite the fact that it is turn based. Strategy in this game goes beyond the abilities the player brings into battle as the environment also plays a large role in gameplay. It takes a little time to master the battle system, but I found it was a lot of fun once I did. There is also a lot of depth to the story and characters that leads to the feeling you are actually building a relationship with each hero you meet throughout. Being able to customize your in game room with photos you can take yourself and hang is a nice bonus touch especially as you always begin and end the day in that space. I feel the game is definitely worth playing as it is a lot of fun. ... show more

  • Pretty fun game that lasts long enough.
I've had great fun with Midnight suns, it has a good choice of heroes, some you might expect but also some other unexpected, but cool ones, at least for me. The gameplay is good, aside from some DS games this is my first time playing a card/strategy game so I think it is an appropriate introductory game. It is a 4 star product because I believe it lacks some polishing in some places. Sometimes textures take to much to load properly, face models, specially the protagonist could use some work and finally, when using fast travel the characters are floating and drop to the ground because of gravity. In conclusion, I had a lots of fun for at least 20 hours, but it is not the prettiest game out there. For this price I can't recommend it enough. ... show more

  • Lots of fun
At first I wasn't too big on the gameplay but after playing a couple hours it got really good. It's a solid 30 hour game and you can adjust the difficulty to make it easier or harder if needed.

  • Such a Good Game
Such a good game. I'm surprised it took me so long to try it.

  • If you like Tony Stark snarky comments and funny banter amongst heroes then this game is for you.
The turn based gameplay is kind of like a combination of Uno and Chess where you have to position your characters and use the right cards and items in the environment to beat the evil villains that have been raised against you.

  • This is a glorified app. Buggy and painfully slow gameplay.
I can’t believe I preordered this. It has legit gen 1 iPad graphics and really does also feel like a gen 1 iPad app. I wish I could return it. Absolutely awful. Carrot and stick gameplay keeps you playing even though you aren’t really enjoying it (like most phone apps do now). This is embarrassing for the Marvel franchise for a next-gen console game. ... show more
