I often build my own furniture, and nothing really matches the quality of something handmade with high-quality materials. However, as I'll describe, I am quite happy with this. In full disclosure, I took a chance with an Amazon Warehouse item in Used Very Good condition, and I'm happy to say it was flawless, still in the original packaging. That also meant I couldn't build something for less than I paid for this. It is a knock-down, flat pack cabinet, but it goes together rather quickly. I laughed when I read 10 minutes with 2 people, yet I probably had it together in that time by myself. I did glue the wood dowels in the holes just because I was afraid it might be wobbly when finished, but I don't think that was necessary. Everything was included, and you may need a Philips head screwdriver if you choose to make the shelf brackets permanent. As many people have noted, it's not white, it's more of a French vanilla or antique white color, and I expected that, thanks to the many other comments. The finish was pristine, and the quality of the hardware met my standards. Most of the panels slide and lock into place, so if you ever wanted to take it apart to move, it would come apart easily. That said, once assembled, it seems solid even though most of the shelves just lay loose. Overall, I give this a 4-1/2 star rating. It's heavy, it's made well, it looks like a nice piece of furniture once assembled, it goes together easily, and there's really nothing I can complain about for ready-to-assemble furniture. My family loves it, and it looks great in our space. I can't speak for the longevity yet, but I suspect we'll use this for many years to come. ... show more

I was nervous to order this online,but I am so glad that we did. We had been looking for a while for a new stand. It was pretty easy for my husband to assemble. It was missing some hardware, but after contacting the company, they did send the missing parts. That was a bit of a hassle, because it was partially assembled, and we had to wait for the remaining parts. However, I understand that accidents happen once in awhile. The quality is excellent. It is very sturdy and really nice looking too. The top is a smoky dark grey; almost borders on black. The white is a soft rich white, not a bright white. The item is well built. It seems strange that some that essentially snaps together is as study as it is. The directions for assembly were ok. At times they could have been a little clearer, still easy enough for an average DIYer to get through. During assembly I found 3 door pull rings were broken. Assembly was completed because I needed the unit for a TV stand. Customer service was OUTSTANDING. I placed a call to the company Dec 26 not really believing there would be an answer. The call was picked up on the first ring. I explained to the representative the issue. She was attentive and spoke professionally. That was Friday. I received an email Monday indicating the steps I needed to take. I provided the required information 2ays later. A week later I received the replacement parts (Ca to FL). I'm very pleased with the transaction. Understand this not a high end piece of furniture. But for the price I don't think you can go wrong. It is a centerpiece in my living room. ... show more

I was looking for a TV stand for weeks, and came across this. I liked how there are other matching pieces if you wanted to add i the future. It was super easy to assemble-my 12 year old helped! It is very sturdy and heavy. It looks great. The only complaint is, it is not white. It is more of a light gray color. It still matches my decor so it wasn't a big deal, but if you were wanting true white, this will not do. ... show more

Although the finished cabinet is solid and beautiful, we had to order a replacement after the first set contained a cracked front panel and two damaged shelves. Amazon customer service was excellent ! The unit requires far more time to assemble than the advertised 10 minutes, largely due to the poor finish on the assembly clasps of the front and internal panels making it extremely difficult to slide together. Applying silicone to the metal clasps helped somewhat.love the finished product! ... show more

I don't know where to start. I'm literally on the verge of tears. Not sure if it was the seller or Amazon but took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Was supposed to be 2 day shipping. As the reviews mentioned, boxes very very heavy so I had a hard time getting it into the house. I can't imagine someone being lucky enough to assemble in 10 minutes, this literally has taken me hours and I'm still not finished. I have assembled so many pieces of furniture even larger and heavier than this by myself. Many pieces do not align and it's very frustrating. Very very very frustrating! Sweating cussing hurt myself and can't say enough I will never buy anything from this company ever again. I am blown away. Things literally do not line up I use WD-40 I use a rubber mallet and things are still off. Very frustrating also I haven't worked since March so this was a lot of money for me. there is even a help phone number on the "manual" included and i called & they said someone would call me back, still waiting days later.Pretty darn frustrated cuz I've been waiting for this piece and thought it was so pretty. I am so pleased with the the large TV stand from Martin Svensson. I ordered the expresso color. It is very thick, good quality furniture. It was so easy to put together. It took less than an hour. The style is so unique. I have had nothing but compliments from my family and friends. The delivery through Amazon was so easy and the delivery staff from Amazon is the best!!!
