Description

From Martin...We took the GPCX1RAE and reimagined it. The result is the GPC-X2E Rosewood. This Grand Performance sized model features a cutaway body with a Sitka spruce top and figured rosewood pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides. New mother-of-pearl pattern inlay on the rosette and fingerboard lend a richness to the GPC-X2E Rosewood, making it as impressive to look at as it is to play. With a Performing Artist neck, fingerboard, and bridge of select hardwood, the sound transfer of this model has been greatly improved. It is equipped with Fishman MX electronics and strung with Martin’s Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings. With a new, soft gig bag featuring headstock, bridge, and endpin protectors, a durable water-repellent exterior, and foam padding, this model is ready to go anywhere.

I bought it thinking I can’t missed, it is a Martin !. Well I was wrong, this is the most expensive but worst guitar I ever bought. So hard to play that it hurts. My cheaper guitars are a lot smoother and nicer to play. I regret this purchase

I’ve been playing guitar professionally for 30 years. The Martin X Series is my favorite in my collection to play. It doesn’t have any Gel coat and is real wood on the top and back but maybe the sides are laminate. This is by far the best guitar I’ve put in my hands. Easy to play because of the great action and feel of the neck. Best of all when you plug this guitar into an amp or sound system you will be blown away at the sound you get out of this guitar. I have 2 Taylor’s that were 3x the price of this guitar that can’t even come close to the sounds that you get out of this guitar’s pickups. I am very pleased with my purchase and have purchased 2 other Martins since then, but this one is still my favorite of all in my collection to play. I recommend this guitar for any player beginner, occasional player, to professional level musicians due to its great price point. It also comes with a very nice gig bag. I read some of the low reviews and I’m not sure what’s going on with the one that they purchased because this is an incredible instrument.
