These are pins are really nice; far better than the ones I bought at a local store when I broke a pin. I have no idea whether they have any effect on the sound of my guitars. It's just hard to tell. These are plastic, they look nicer than my old beat up white ones and compliment the new black tuners I picked up. Comes with an extra pin and a large pin you will never use.

This item comes exactly as shown in a neat little box. This kit includes 6 string pins and a larger endpin. I bought this just for the large endpin to use on an archtop and will use the string pins on an acoustic. 2 fixed with one part..amazing and affordable

If you don't know what abalone looks like it has a purple/greenish aurora pattern to it. That is what is inlaid and it is very nice. I was thinking this was ebony wood, but it is NOT. It is plastic. So if you are building a guitar or replacing bridge pins and want to use these thinking its wood, order the $18 one labeled ebony with abalone inlay. BUT it looks very nice and fits perfectly. I used on my custom made Koa guitar, but i will be ordering ebony ones since i think it will look better. ... show more

I tried some brass pins but they kept popping out, even with a bend in the eyes of the strings so wanted to find another set with abalone inserts.... stumbled across these, since my pickguard is black and the rings around the soundhole are abalone, these seemed like a decent choice. Well, they came out fantastic, hold well and look great. Just need to find an ebony saddle now.... ... show more

I bought these for my Martin D-18. There pins are made in Mexico for Martin. They are cheap plastic bridge pins that cost about the same as Martin's solid wood ebony pins. I would recommend skipping these and buying the solid wood pins. If you want white, you will need to search for bone pins that cost about $25.00. ... show more
