This is a beautifully designed desk that looks wonderful in my home office space. The 3 drawers are a great storage option for tucking things away out of sight. It’s very sturdy & doesn’t rock or wobble at all. Do set aside a few hours to build this thing because it has a ton of pieces. I believe it took me 3 hours to get it all assembled properly. The instructions were easy to follow apart from 1 section referencing the drawer bracket installation. The original manual did not have it clearly listed as to where the screws should be placed along the rail. To fix this, there was an insert added with instructions to replace those steps. However, the diagram on the insert was also wrong. How do you get it wrong twice? The diagram of the rails was not an accurate representation of what they look like & had more holes than the ones actually included. The instructions indicate you should place the screws through hole X & Y, but if you do so, it moves the rail too close to the edge. This is where I had to use my own judgment & use whichever holes resembled correct placement according to the next few steps. Luckily, I was right. There should be a gap between rail & the front edge a little less than ¾” to allow room for attaching the front of the drawer. After that, the build went smoothly. This desk is a lovely piece of furniture with enough space for my computer & accessories. It doesn’t look bulky or out of place. The drawers glide smoothly. My only issue is with the gap around the drawers not being consistent across all 3. Seems like the predrilled holes for 2 of the drawers may have been off a mm or 2, causing a different gap size. This may not be a huge problem for most people, but it drives my OCD up the wall. Drawer on the left, perfect even gap all around. Middle & right drawers have a bigger gap at top creating less streamline look across the front. Takes away from the elegance of the design. I’ve tried correcting this by unscrewing & moving the rails as much as possible in either direction. There’s a little shimmy room inside the holes. I thought moving the screws closer to either side (instead of being directly center) would rectify the problem, but no luck. It didn’t change at all, which indicates the problem is the holes themselves & not the placement of the rails. It’s also worth noting the height of the desk does not allow you to tuck your chair underneath if it has armrests & is raised at all. My chair must be at the lowest point to slide underneath. Not a big problem but could be a pain if you’re using in a small space or your chair is too tall. The gap between the bottom of the desk & floor is around 24”. Seems as though there could be some minor improvements made with the drawer or hardware alignment, as well as correcting the instructions. Overall, It’s a charming desk & I’m happy with it. For Martha Stewart I expected better craftsmanship, this desk has it all from unclear instructions in 3 languages to peices that do not fit together as the pictures say they should the drawers are extreamly uneven as every one of the 6 slides fall into completely different places along the alignment this makes each one crooked and unable to close fully, hope you get a spare parts baggy! You will need it since you’ll be 1-2 short on every screw and peg, the wood however very clean very smooth, also make sure you own an Allen wrench set as mine did not come with one, an additional expense needed in order to assemble this half baked desk, in a hurry? Don’t worry they have your back with a 3-5 hour assembly time depending on your problem solving skills. ... show more

As others have noted there are some issues with the instructions. My desk came with an orange correction sheet for a couple of steps. I also misunderstood some of the steps and had to correct things. after the table was pretty much put together. I have a lot of experience with IKEA furniture so I am an experienced builder but this still took me about 3 hours to put together by myself. There are a lot of screws and parts but it has everything you need except for a Phillips Head screwdriver. The drawer slides are really greasy. I got grease everywhere. Also there was a lot of wood dust in the peg holes and other areas. There's dust everywhere in my house. The fit of everything was amazing. At one point you have to line up 12 cam locks and 4 pegs and I was worried that I was going to have to muscle everything but it all fit in perfectly. I could have used a rubber mallet at this point, but it worked out OK. The drawers are big enough that I was able to install the drawer slides after the table was put together. That was my fault, but it's fixable. The slides are better quality than any IKEA drawer and the finished product is much better quality too. ... show more

The Martha Stewart Ollie home office desk has a beautiful modern design incorporating wood and metal only to get a gorgeous desk, made out of quality materials and comes with decent tools, i always use my tools at the end it saves me time assembling. so the assembly was not as easy as normally will take me to assemble a table this size but after about an hour and a half and some help i managed to finish but it was really worth it to see this beautiful desk complete. very recommended if you can pass the long assembly time. ... show more

I've put together a lot of boxed furniture recently and I was really happy to receive this - a desk that was made up of just a few pieces, instead of a 100+. So yeah, very easy to put together - easier with an electric drill. It looks really nice too, the middle drawer is not level with the other drawers though...that bothers me, but it's probably something I messed up during assembly. And overall, it won't be noticeable to anyone except me - because my dogs don't allow me to have any visitors and haven't for a good decade or so. ... show more
