I bought this cutting tool to put down LVP flooring in my living room/dining room, and it saved me a ton of money. It was easy to put together, and take apart for storage. It can be used for cutting a variety of things where you need a clean straight edge. . I even used it to cut off some shoe strings that were too long. It makes a nice clean cut and is easier than using scissors. It serves as a great tool for DIY and crafting as long as the material is not too hard and will fit under the blade. You can cut 45 degrees so if you have some decorative molding that is small enough to fit under the blade. You can make nice clean miter cuts. I'm not a pro, but I've installed my share of LVT and this tool makes the process much easier and faster than scoring planks. It was easy to set up and cut fine. My only criticism is there is no alignment mark for the cutting blade, so you have to lean over and eyeball the blade and your cutting line. -1 star for that reason. I used this instead of having to cut to length on my Miter Saw. Works well and leaves a clean edge. Only problem is when the Cut Handle is in the Storage position it sticks up way to far.

I bought this for a single room in our house since there was nowhere local we could rent one. I have no regrets spending this money as the time saved was worth every penny. I was able to cut 6mm LVP quickly and easily as long as it was ~12" across (my tiles were 12"x23.75" so we cut longer edges on a table saw).
