This was fairly easy to put together. My 16 yr old son and I did it in a fairly short amount of time. Based off of other reviews and personal experience, when connecting the two metal pieces that make up the sides, just make sure you tighten the screws to where they are fully connected. I thought the instructions were just a tad confusing there, but my son figured it out. It was easy enough for me and my son to use, and husband said it saved a lot of time. It cuts nicely, leaves a clean line, and it worked well on vinyl flooring with padding, and another type of wood composite. I would recommend, and husband thought it was worth it for even a small kitchen flooring project.

What an amazing tool. I typically use a miter saw for flooring projects, but transporting it takes a lot of effort and valuable space in our vehicle. This cutter took up only a fraction of the space and, once I got the hang of using it, I was able to move through the job quickly and efficiently. One of the biggest advantages was how clean it was to use. Unlike a miter saw, there was virtually no dust or mess to deal with, which made the work area much easier to keep tidy. I used it to cut 12mm Mohawk flooring from Costco, and it handled the material with ease. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a portable, clean, and effective alternative to a miter saw.
