Assembly steps are very clear, easy to understand. All parts are packaged in plastic bags and are labeled clearly. Other tables have less assembly required but rather costly. This table is excellent, assembling is done only once, and money saved.

It took me 3 hours to assemble it, the keyboard tray is the most confusing part to me, I basically installed it completely in the reversed wrong in the first time. I hoped there was a video that can clearly show me how to install it. Regarding the usage so far overall is good, the height adjustment is good, however, the keyboard tray is a bit bouncy to me, it would be much better if i can fix it at a certain location ... show more

    • Great in Many Ways, with Some Issues

I needed to replace my old computer desk in my home office with something better and more versatile. I saw this adjustable-height desk from Marsail and it seemed like a good solution. I'm using it now, and I'm mostly happy with it. ASSEMBLY Assembly is a slow, difficult process. The parts are semi-logical, but you really need the instructions to figure it out. The labeling of the parts is weird -- some parts are clearly identified and others are not. The instructions are small print, so if you need glasses it may be difficult for you to follow. Some sections of the instructions are just very confusing. One area in particular -- the keyboard tray -- shows contradictory and erroneous images. Altogether, the assembly is just unnecessarily difficult. It took me almost 2 hours to assemble this. However, once it's assembled, it's very sturdy, so that's a positive. QUALITY This is made from really high-quality materials. The metal parts are heavy and feel incredibly solid. I have full confidence in the strength of this table. The desktop/keyboard tray is made from a sturdy composite material with a smooth coating that is also strong and feels like it will last. The desk is very stable, and even with a lot of use it does not rock or slide at all. I'm very happy with the quality. LIFTING MECHANISM The height-adjustment system on this desk is excellent. At the touch of an up or down button, the desk lifts and lowers confidently. I like that the buttons respond to quick touches so you can make tiny adjustments as needed. There's a digital display that shows the current height setting. You can save 4 settings, which is great when you want to have a standing and a sitting height ready to go, or if you share this desk with someone taller/shorter than you. SURFACE AREA The desktop provides a generous amount of space. I have a tower PC, 30" monitor, speaker bar, and large mouse pad on the surface, with comfortable room all around. ATTRACTIVENESS This has an elegant, minimalist look. The metal parts convey simple quality. I think it looks great in my office. KEYBOARD TRAY This is the weakest element of the system, in my opinion. The installation of the tray is really difficult, with horrible instructions. The slides are actually good quality, but it just doesn't feel necessary to me. The surface area is big enough to accommodate my keyboard. I like having more clearance under the table for my knees, so I removed the keyboard tray and it's working much better for me. CONCLUSION Putting this together is a horrible experience, and the keyboard tray (for me) is not good. But beyond that, this is a great desk. It's very sturdy, quite attractive, and has an excellent height- adjustment system. Once you are done with the installation, it's a great desk. ... show more

Overall this is a great standing desk. I was looking forward to getting one and I'm glad to have this 48" model. It has great features including the keyboard tray which easily slides in and out, and the electric motor for height adjustment. The height up/down mechanism is wonderful letting you move it up or down by very small increments - about 1/8" or 1/16" at a time. I love the memory preset settings so you can set up to 4 heights you want it to remember so it's super easy to get to your preferred heights quickly. I find this feature encourages me to stand because it's not an ordeal to get the desk to the right height in the middle of a busy work day. I feel I can confidently change to standing even during a meeting because I can easily transition from sitting to standing without it being a distraction for me or the meeting. Plus it operates very smoothly and quietly. The built in cable organizer at the back of the desk is also very useful and keeps the cables where you want them. Finally you can see that it comfortably holds a laptop, 2 external monitors (the arms clipped on easily) and a boom mic as well. It remains sturdy loaded up with all the equipment. The packaging was also great. It came in a single box and instead of styrofoam which is a crumbly mess, it was packaged in soft foam which protected everything, but is not a hassle to move or dispose of. The instructions were easy to follow with good diagrams, clearly labeled parts and parts bags. I went at my own easy pace and it took me roughly an hour to put together with an electric drill/screwdriver. The overall quality is high. The only reason I rated this a 4 and not a 5 is because there is a small fit and finish issue with the two pieces of the desktop coming together leaving a lip on one side and flush on the opposite end (see photo) and because the 2 keyboard backstop pieces to keep the keyboard from falling out the back of the tray were missing which isn't a concern since my keyboard has rubber pads. Other than that, I have no complaints and would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, solid standing desk! ... show more
