This desk was pretty easy to put together and assemble. It feels pretty sturdy and doesn't take up too much space. I'm not totally in love with the actual desktop, in my opinion it looks a bit cheap, it's not, and is really durable thus far. It's easy to use and has a memory function for standing. I am full time RVing for a few months but need to have an office in my rig. This desk fit my needs perfectly, everything from daily work to Podcasting. I ordered the 40inx24in desk because of the limited space that I have. one of the features that I really like and was the deciding factor is that when I travel, I raise the desk, turn it sideways in my space and close the living room slides without having to do anything else to secure that area. Set up was simple just follow the directions and you will be up and down desking in minutes. At 50+ pounds it is very stable and even with this being the smaller size, it easily fits two 17in laptops, KVM switch and external drives without feeling cramped. I use a large monitor placed a couple of feet away but if I was using a regular sized office monitor I feel that I would have more than enough room. The motor is quiet not silent just quiet and it is not an issue. Recording a podcast I decided to go from standing to sitting and you could barely hear the desks operation. The only addition I am going to make is to get some of the carpeted furniture cups to put the let pads into. I am concerned (a little bit) about marring my hardwood floors in my rig. Other than that, it is exactly what I needed for my space. I think this one will live in my rig and I'll get another larger one for my home office. ... show more

    • Stand up desk goodness with memory function
I've tried a few standup desks, electric, nonelectric, etc etc and this is one of the better ones. My standout feature for this desk is that it has a memory function that restores the height at a touch of a button. This is perfect for me because of having kids and a wife who sometimes uses my computer station for playing games or general web browsing as well and doesn't actually want to stand up like I do at times. They can just press a button and it goes right down to their desired desk height and I can return it to my preferred height as well. Other than that, it is a basic desk. Good quality, much cheaper than name brand competition with almost all the same functions. 8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful. ... show more

I've been using this desk for the last several months. It feels very solid, and still looks as good as the first day I got it. Assembly was very easy, easier than I thought it would be actually! I was able to easily put it together by myself alone. The height adjustment works very well, and the memory positions are quite nice as well. Once you've got the height set where you want it, add it to the memory button, and then it can go right back to that same spot. It's definitely quite nice to have the option to sit or stand, and I've found myself using the standing option more than I thought I would when I first got this desk. The image on this product listing saying "Quick Assembly" showing someone happily screwing the legs onto the tabletop is incredibly misleading. That is, in fact, the second to last step in what I would consider to be a medium-challenging furniture build. The instructions lay out "four easy steps." Fantastic! But step 1 is to assemble the entire desk piece by piece and the rest of the steps are putting the tabletop together and on the desk, then connecting wires. The instructions also refer to "the bolts" quite often when there are 3 different types of bolts you may need in a given step. You just have to know which ones to use. The instructions also say you can use a power drill on the tabletop portions, which I highly recommend, but you also are going to HAVE to use a manual screwdriver to put in the central screws... So if you opt for a drill you'll need both that and a regular screwdriver because I guarantee your drill bit isn't long enough to put the final screws in. Lastly, the "accessory hook" instructions tell you to "hold the hook in place while assembling the side panel." - Where? What does it attach to? Never figured it out, but I don't think a hook hanging off the side of moving furniture is a good idea to begin with... So I omitted it. There's also a bag of "spare parts" but there are spare parts in the hardware bags as well, so you get that extra-special feeling of "Oh I must have missed something." That said, I'm really happy with the desk now that it's assembled. It's relatively stable (It wobbles a bit in the higher positions). Unlike my previous desk, it doesn't block the power outlet, so I'm able to actually use it AND plug things into the wall. The only thing I'll say is that the power cable needs to be able to move freely with the TOP of the desk, not the stationary bottom... So plan accordingly. This desk isn't fancy, but it's pretty fantastic. The materials are sturdy and attractive. Easy to assemble, easy to use. I especially like the memory function! My toddler has a love of electronics and pushing buttons, but I am very particular about settings on things like this (body mechanics are important). It's nice that I can easily reset it back to where it was once she's done playing. Most of the simple standing desks don't offer pockets or cable management, so I was very excited that this one did.
