It looked great, it sounded great, and the listing made it seem great. But once I got it, at first, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to end up liking it. It seemed like it wouldn't fit enough stuff, because of the somewhat unusual design of using the interior of the shell as the bulk of the "open" storage space. The outer shell didn't seem to be as durable as I thought it would be and I expected it to collapse or look like crap after a few uses. The only saving grace was it's nice appearance and it's great protection for the laptop itself, and I didn't think that would be enough to get me to want to use it regularly. Happily, I turned out completely wrong and I've been using this as my main backpack for some time now. I've traveled with it, used it for daily use, and I haven't once wished I had one of my other or a different bag. It's comfortable, surprisingly durable, good looking, and most importantly it holds everything I've wanted it to. I honestly didn't expect it. The main compartment uses the interior of the hard shell as a cavity to store things, with a zip up mesh liner keeping it separate. I didn't think this design would work very well because it seemed clunky and prone to failure; if the shell didn't hold up, or the mesh gave away, you'd have a floppy bag that made a mess when you opened it. This didn't happen and, in fact, the design turned out to give me a lot more functional space than a lot of bags that just give you tons of impractical pockets that are never really quite what you need. On weekend trips I can fit enough clothes behind the mesh to not have to take another bag, and still carry all the daily stuff I don't want to leave behind. For longer trips, I use it to carry everything except clothes and use a duffel for clothes - the expansion really adds extra room to that interior cavity and subsequently slims it quite a bit when not in use. It's great. As for the durability - I've been using it regularly for a few months now and it shows no signs of wear. The stitching at the straps is solid, the outer material isn't scuffed or dirty, and the zips are still smooth and haven't (as far as I can remember) gotten stuck once. I really didn't think it'd hold its shape as well as it has, especially after this much use. The laptop is against the back (which I think is mandatory for a computer bag) and the hard shell exterior adds extra protection, especially if you've got clothes rolled up in the interior. I use this bag every day for work and personal use, the material is very durable and strong and I love the design of this backpack. The hardshell cover gives it a unique look and the little lock is a nice touch, if someone stole this bag they would of course still be able to break into it but at least they would have to try hard. It opens literally in two and I love that about this bag and has excellent space for anything you want to stuff inside of it. The price is well worth this bag and I think it's a huge addition to keeping my daily life organized and easy to transport! ... show more

Pros: The style. The additional, removable vertical layer with pockets. The pocket with zipper located on the top that can contain a small wallet and keys for quick access (without opening the whole backpack). Cons: Pretty bulky (more than it looks from the photos online). The cover of the outside USB port broke after 2 days. The main zipper too after a few days. The backpack is constructed with durable and sturdy materials that give me confidence in its ability to withstand everyday wear and tear. The zippers are robust and glide smoothly, indicating the attention to detail in its design. Additionally, the backpack's spaciousness is something to note. It offers ample room to accommodate all my essentials and even expands when needed, providing that extra storage capacity for my belongings. Whether it's my laptop, books, or travel necessities. However, the only slight inconvenience I've noticed is the TSA lock. While it adds an extra layer of security, it does require a bit of practice to get used to. My son takes the train and bus to work. He has said this bag is lite enough to carry, big enough to get work tools and change of clothes from gym.
