I hate purchasing products that doesn't do its job. Luckily, this one did. Have used this more than 5 times now on our dinghy boat. So far, we haven't had to reposition the boat to our desired location while this anchor is in use. I recall buying a similar product on Amazon about 5 years ago and the price was like $20. Now, the price is $30. That, we disliked. Recently, we saw that Walmart was selling something similar for about $15. Although it didn't include the cute red buoy nor the bag, one could buy these separately and save maybe $10. Seems odd that Light Weight would be a review item on an anchor. Aaaanyways, this is a beautifully packaged design. The padded bag is a great feature as it keeps the anchor from making a ton of racket in the boat. There is a lock ring that keeps the anchor prongs open or closed. I found that only opening one or two would allow me to slowly drift and fish longer runs. The rope is soft and definitely strong enough for the task. I Ordered two of these anchors, one for my wife's kayak and one for mine. When the shipment was delivered I only received one. Works great to anchor kayak really like the ability to detach anchor since it has foam attachment in the event you catch a big fish in which you can go back and reattach anchor to kayak.

    • Works sometimes
I used this to anchor a floating island in a bay with not much current. It was very difficult to get anchor to work on its own. I had to combine it with another similar anchor (which did work on its own) in order to prevent the float from floating away.
