  • Good buy
Size: EX-4 16'-27' Boats 4lbs
I had a Guardian anchor made by Fortress on a previous boat years ago and I remember it was about half the price as the original Fortress and the Guardian worked great. This is an good copy of the Guardian and the Guardian was also very sharp. This was a little tricky getting the nuts threaded on the screws. There is very little space available but it is do able with patients . Mine was pre-drilled just right so that made it easier. The instruction video was very good. Since these are good copies of Fortress and Guardian anchors they should perform very well like the originals. A++ ... show more

  • Nice anchor but dangerously sharp
Size: EX-4 16'-27' Boats 4lbs
As many have said, no instructions so I pulled up Fortress since it’s an identical anchor. Very little room to get the screws fastened on the base plate but you’ll eventually get it. Fluke edges are insanely sharp and I sliced my finger the first day out. Suggesting people sand those down a little if you plan on keeping all your fingers. ... show more

  • Perfect anchor for a yamaha fsh 222 sports E
Size: EX-7 28'-32 Boats 7lb
Although no instructions but it's easy to be figured, one thing is go buy some 1/4 in-20 nylon lock nuts stainless steel instead of the one provided just for extra safety, tools used were 2= 7/16 wrench and a good Philips screwdriver. Over good quality and light weight for the wife.🤣

  • China Clone - Fortress FX-7
Size: EX-4 16'-27' Boats 4lbs
It's important you understand this is not a Fortress anchor. If you want a Fortress, break out your wallet and buy a Fortress. That said, I am really impressed with this anchor. I purchased the Fortress FX-7 as my primary bow anchor and this anchor as a Stern anchor for the sandbars. Side by Side the two anchors are identical. I concur with the other reviews about this anchor having sharp edges, but a piece of 600 grit sandpaper quickly resolved the issue. I have not used the anchor yet and cannot comment on its performance. However, because the anchors are identical I expect the performance to be similar. ... show more

  • There are some issues
Size: EX-4 16'-27' Boats 4lbs
The media could not be loaded. Overall, the anchor isn't too bad, depending upon where you might anchor. Pros: It's a good price for an aluminum fluke anchor. The stem is pretty thick. Cons: I had to drill out poorly aligned holes to get the little bolts to attach the "base". The "base" bolts aren't long enough, nor did it come with, lock washers. So, you really need to crank those nuts down and inspect them for tightness regularly. The "base" had too thin of material without enough support room to drill a hole so you can set up the anchor as a "release" anchor. In the end, I was able to get the anchor assembled, and since my lake bottom is mostly mud, I don't NEED to set it up for release. If you want a light weight fluke anchor that won't corrode, and you have little fear of your anchor getting jammed in rocks, the price isn't bad. If you are will be anchoring in areas where it can get hung up on the bottom, you should probably skip this anchor. ... show more
