  • Really great. All the features I need.
Color: Black
My favorite dive watch ever was the Suunto Mosquito. This Mares watch is a great replacement with some modest improvements. The freedive/bottom time lock is frustrating, but all you have to do is enter the code 1234 on the erase screen to unlock. It appears that doing this does not effect the dive log. The size is a perfect compromise between being large enough to see and small enough to wear every day. The planning function is quick and intuitive. ... show more

  • Great backup for Diving
I use this for a back up computer for my Mares Wide. I love it because the displays match up so well that there is not any confusion about that data. The redundancy of the two computers allows me to not miss a dive due to a computer failure. The ease of this also being a watch, it was my go to for our dive trip. Never came off my wrist. ... show more

  • I’m a padi instructor and love this watch
Color: Black/White
I’m a padi instructor and love this watch , however that being said, even tho I wear it every day not only does it log dives, it gives time 24-7. This makes the batttery dead within one year . They sell battery replacement sets but it’s difficult to do without a mares store. I replaced my old battery thinking it was easy but the “o” wasn’t in properly and I work on regulators etc. water got in and corroded it. It may last a normal diver longer but for me it was kind of a bummer. I bought it again however because it’s so easy to read ... show more

Color: Black
I bought this as an intermediate level dive computer for someone special. He loves to wear it as a generic watch as well as using it for diving. The size is great, even for a smaller person and the features are intuitive. Highly recommend this as a mid-cost, advanced recreational diving watch.

  • Love it
Color: Black
Great as a watch. Went diving with it for the first time in Sri Lanka and it worked as expected. The sound beep alarm when acending too fast can easily be heard. The display is easily visible under water. It gives detailed info abt the dive once you surface. Would highly recommend it.

  • Good Watch for Recreational diving - weak design
I bought this for my wife and it has worked well as a back up to her main dive computer. The issue is though, the design is not robust enough where the wrist band attached to the watch. It has now broken for the 2nd time (original was replaced by Mares). It's unfortunate because all the other functionality of the watch has worked well. ... show more

Color: Black
My son absolutely loves this Wrist Dive Computer. He had purchased one for his wife at Christmas and thought that it would do for the both of them. Not so, but could no longer get this from his Dive Shop and I found it on Amazon and was shipped to me in two days. It made his diving trip with his wife the best. It was is an absolute for diving these days. He was amazed at how easy it was to use. Great present! ... show more

  • This is a short review describing the good and the bad based on some tropical water diving ...
Color: Black/White
This is a short review describing the good and the bad based on some tropical water diving I did in January 2015. The good: - two button operation is very intuitive - display is easy to read - reasonably good watch functionality - looks decent and is not overly large on a man's arm. - Support hotline (US) is prompt and knowledgeable The could be better: - watch alarm is not very loud. I wouldn't want to rely on it for making the dive boat in the morning. The rant about the bad: Apparently Marres decided that once you use Freedive mode, it will lock the computer into it for 24h for safety reasons. Here is the thing. I took the new computer snorkeling in Freedive mode and went down once to 11ft for about 30s to test its pressure sensor and alarm sounds. The next day when I went scuba diving I discovered that I could not get out of freedive mode. It was stuck in freedive mode and I could only use it as a rudimentary timer and depth gauge. Thanks for making my scuba dives "safe"! After calling Marres support, I know why. There is warning statement in the manual that says "Do not practice free diving within 24 hours of having performed a scuba dive." OK fine. I got the warning. I understand it. But why didn't you tell me that you are actually LOCKING the dive computer into freedive mode? There is no indication on the display telling you why you cannot get out of freedive mode. At least there should be a timer displayed or something. But the better way to deal with this would be a manual override function. There can be all sorts of valid and perfectly safe reasons on why you would want to do it. Also, the statement reads don't do freediving AFTER scuba diving - NOT scuba diving AFTER freediving. Apparently, freediving mode is a fancy bottom timer. In the bottom timer section you find a warning that states: "Dives in bottom timer mode are performed at your own risk. After a dive in bottom timer mode you must wait at least 24 hours before diving using a decompression computer." That is probably the explanation why I cannot switch out of freedive mode into any of the scuba modes. Explaining that it goes both ways in the freedive section would have been nice, too. ... show more
