I am absolutely thrilled with my MARENA SFBHS Stage 1 Short Length Girdle with High-Back and Hook-and-eye Front Closure – Tummy Control. This surgery girdle has truly been a game-changer in my recovery process. First and foremost, the high-back design provides excellent support and compression to my entire back area. It has helped alleviate any discomfort or pain that I was experiencing post-surgery, allowing me to move around more freely and comfortably. The added support has also improved my posture, which is an added bonus. The hook-and-eye front closure is incredibly convenient and easy to use. Unlike other girdles I have tried in the past, I don't have to struggle to put it on or take it off. The secure closure ensures that the girdle stays in place throughout the day, providing consistent compression and support to my abdomen. Speaking of compression, the tummy control feature of this girdle is exceptional. It has helped reduce swelling and inflammation in my abdominal area, promoting faster healing and a smoother recovery. I have noticed a significant improvement in the appearance of my tummy since I started using this girdle. The short length design of the girdle is perfect for me. It provides the necessary support and compression to my midsection without restricting movement in my legs or hips.     • wish I had this faja right after surgery

After a tummy tuck, my doc provided a compression garment of his choice (Veronique brand). While it was high quality, he ordered it two sizes to small and wearing it was excruciating, so after a week I decided to replace it. The brand he used was way too expensive ($250) for an item I would only wear for a few weeks so I compromised with this and it worked well. It's not quite as compressive as the too-small Veronique -- if you need SUPER strong compression (or your doc orders it for you), go down a size. (In retrospect, I'd have done that myself.) But for longer term wear, go by your actual post-surgery waist size or even a size down. There are three rows of hook and eye closure so as your swelling goes down you can snug it up. One feature that made this one stand out over other lower-priced fajas and compression body suits was the open crotch was wide enough to actually be usable for toileting and not, um, make a mess or need to get my hands all in there to pull open the gusset flaps. When you have to wear something 24x7 for a month, this makes a huge difference!! I also appreciate that the thighs aren't too tight so they don't make them bulge, nor do they roll up. On the down side, I found the straps useless and I wish they were easily removable. They do allow you to unfasten them, but then you have straps hanging down your back. Cutting them off wasn't appropriate because of the shape of the attachment flaps. Oh well, it was only a month. ... show more

Buy it. I did days of back and forth reasearch on what stage 1 compression garment to get and of course this is the name brand everyone knows, I was skeptical just with the reviews being either great or horrible and with the bigger price point I was nervous. I’m beyond happy I bit the bullet with this one. This has SAVED me. I was put into a binder after surgery and with the way I’m shaped the bottom kept rolling up into my drains and my incisions causing so much pain and irritation I couldn’t get comfortable. As soon as I switched into this one (on night 2 due to being cautious) my pain and comfort improved a ton. The hooks make it easy to pin up your drains and the material is breathable and moves well! Sleeping is easy and comfortable. Just spend the money on this better quality one so you don’t have to replace it after the first or second week! Doctors also highly recommend! ... show more

2 things, this is VERY LONG, and there is no variation for a waist. It's good for right after surgery, but if you just had a DEIP, you can't fasten it up all the way, and the metal in the armpits are pretty uncomfortable. But for the first few weeks it's pretty acceptable. Some gauze and removal of bottom hooks does an ok job. Phase 2 is too much for right after surgery. ... show more

Please do NOT buy these. I'm 22 days post-op and got put in my garment at 7 days post-op (Size XL) and it tore on day 4 as you can see in the first photo. I then purchased a size L at 16 days post-op and that one too is ripping on the butt. These are $124.00 garments and there is no reason why they should be ripping in the first few uses. I feel like Marena owes me all my money back for even selling this garbage. I'm so very upset that I now have 2 of these that are ripped. Sadly, these are the ones my plastic surgeon recommends. I'll be talking to him at my 1 month post-op to get out and away from this brand! ... show more
