It is larger but the size isn't too large it's perfect. I'm no expert but my tote appears to be real. The leather ob these totes is really something. Worth every penny! I would also recommend purchasing an insert to help organize. They make some in just about every color to especially fit this bag. Very well made. Strong , sturdy and BEAUTIFUL!

Worth every penny! The quality is so worth it. I carry this bag as my everyday work bag anf it holds everything gracefully. I love throwing it on my shoulder and the color is really pretty.
