Fantastic Choice
Style: Cinema 60
My wife said it sounds fantastic. Very easy to hook up my 5-2 system. Sound quality is clean and as sound editor intended. I’m running JBL and SVS speakers, I couldn’t be more pleased with this amplifier. I used the microphone and allowed it to setup distances automatically.

Love it. And the remote doesn’t look like an afterthought.

One year later and I am still very happy with the Marantz. What it gets right with tuning the speaker timings and minor phase correction is genuinely impressive and often produces a sound that is as if it’s playing inside your own head. Extremely immersive experiences. Idk if I needed to spend this much to replace my 10yo Yamaha, but I’m glad I did. Had a bunch of weird setup pains but firmware evidently needs to be updated in sequence, because the problems went away after I discovered there was a Second update to do. Lots of features are locked out until you do the room correction process, which is weird to me but that’s fine Love love love the little things; HDMI Control (power on/off other devices in the chain) works great where it was finicky on my last AVR. Phono sounds really nice and precludes my poorly little preamp box I had been using. Probably my favorite is AirPlay; the Cinema 60 will ‘wake from LAN’ and turn itself on if I choose it from my iPhone, and it’s smart enough to know AirPlay is just for music so it won’t turn on my tv to do it. My old AVR didn’t even have bluetooth so this is a real treat. ... show more

This was a big upgrade for me
Style: Cinema 60
Acquired the Marantz Cinema 60 to upgrade my Home Entertainment Center & to take better advantage of the Klipch Dolby Atmos speakers. I like the sound being more musical than my previous arrangement. Also the menus & set up were easy and refreshing. This was a big upgrade for me so I have a lot to learn. Haven't had the unit long enough to dislike any thing. ... show more

Missing a power cable and a calibration antenna from package.
Style: Cinema 60
Got a discount because it was used, but there was no disclosure it was missing a power cable and a calibration antenna. The receiver was working once I got a power cable for it.
