The media could not be loaded. As with most made-in-china tools, I have a really hard time trusting this to it's 3/4 ton capacity. I did some quick math, and it *should* work. The chain seems to be the weak point, as it's smaller than I expected and not very heavy. Still, it's a 6mm chain, which *should* be good for at least 1.12 tons, depending on what alloy it is (it's not specified). So it should work, but putting 1,650 lbs on this seems like a real stretch. Even more, a hoist is supposed to have a factor of safety of 4, which means actual hoist failure shouldn't occur until 6,600 lbs. I just don't see any way that's possible with this hoist. On the plus side, it's fairly light, and therefore easy to move around. The ratchet mechanism operates well, and is smooth. Keep in mind it only really works if there's a load on it. When first removed from the box, the ratchet seemed like it was non-functional. Don't worry, it should work fine with 100 lbs on the line. It's also filthy right out of the box, covered in black oily/greasy stuff. I know, it's a shop tool and not an eating utensil. Still, it's a mess. Be prepared to ruin whatever clothes you have on. Overall, I like it. It's an easy to use, light duty hoist. It's just perfect for stuff under 1000 lbs, or maybe for pulling things horizontally instead of for overhead use. ... show more
