Description

Like a sponge, the activated charcoal layer embedded in the non-woven material absorbs harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide, fuels and ozone into pores which are 10,000 times finer than a human hair. That is how the combi-filter ensures a healthy cabin environment. This modern filter consists of a non- woven-based particle filter media, an activated charcoal layer and a carrier media to improve stability

  • If you have a 2004-09 Audi A4, A6, VW Jetta or Passat, read on...
Style: Activated Carbon
This is the OEM brand that VW uses for all of its replaceable filters. It's a great product, charcoal-impregnated heavy-duty fiber. It takes about three minutes to change. I was asked to pay $35.00 for this refill at my local auto parts store. Yeah, I wanted it, but...no. I like the store, but don't feel a need to pay a $350% mark-up. Amazon fixed that for me. If you park your car on the street, you should change your Cabin Air Filter once every 6 months. If you suffer from allergies, you should change it every 4 months and vacuum your car seats and floor monthly. Call me anal retentive if you like, but I spend 4 hours a day in my car, and want to breathe clean air while I am in there. PS...The filter box is right behind the glove box (so it's easy, no tools) and you would not believe all the crap (dog hair, feathers, leaves, construction dust) that it stops you from breathing in. If you ignore it, you risk blowing out your vent fan (expensive) or A/C compressor trying to blow clean air past a clogged filter. Change it yourself and save a bunch of money at Jiffy-Lube and your VW dealer when you bring her in for service. A word to the wise. ... show more

  • Excellent value, will keep your cabin fresh and clean smelling.
Style: Activated Carbon
Exactly the same filter as was in my VW. Removal and installation can be done in about 10 minutes, just follow the instructions that come with the filter! It really does make a difference if you change your filter. My cabin smelled like I had cow turds hidden somewhere in my car (the old filter looked like a bird had made a nest in it!) and the morning after I installed this, the small was gone! Do yourself a favor, don't pay your dealer $50 to sell you and install this. Do it yourself and save some $$$! ... show more

  • Fits well and easy to install
Style: Standard
It is easy to forget about your cabin filter, but it does make a difference to install a new one yearly if not more often. The Mann filter fits my 2007 VW Passat perfectly and installation takes 5 mins or less.

  • Fits Volkswagen MK6 Golf / GTI
Style: Activated Carbon
This Mann cabin filter is exactly the same as the OEM one found in all applicable later 2010+ model Volkswagen vehicles. The manufacturer is the same and the materials are the same. Please don't be confused by some reviews regarding stronger frames or foam materials. Previous years may have had slightly different materials. Installation takes only 10 minutes or less and requires no tools. Do not pay your dealer for this. Manufacturer recommended service interval is every 20,000 miles. For what it costs, I'd recommend yearly changes. Step 1: Unscrew the two plastic thumb screws located underneath your passenger side foot well area (directly below glove box). Step 2: With the screws removed, peel back the carpeting. It is only held in place by the surrounding plastic panels. For greater ease, remove the carpet panel completely. Do not worry it. Putting it back is easy. Step 3: You should be able to see a rectangular plastic box towards the back. The cover slides to the right to open. Push firmly to the right. Once it is fully pushed to the right, gently pull down on the cover to remove. Step 4: Pull down the old filter gently. Take note of the orientation of the old filter. There will be some leaves and debris, so make sure to cover your face and eyes. Clean the area. Step 5: Place the new filter in gently in the same direction as the old one you pulled out. The frame is paper, so it is bendable. As long as you don't manhandle it, it should be fine. Step 6: The filter bottom has slots where the cover latches go. Push it up and slide to the left to lock. Replace the carpet and the thumb screws. Step 7: Buy yourself a 6 pack and a tank of gas with the money you've saved. ... show more

  • Easy install, perfect fit and just like the original
Style: Activated Carbon
Perfect fit for my 2007 VW Passat 2.0T and installs easily. A quick search on the internet revealed that Mann manufactures the OEM version of this for VW as well so do yourself a favor and buy this one for a fraction of the cost. These don't tend to get dirty very quickly either. I bought my car at 60k+ and removed what I think was the original - had some bits of dirt trapped in the fins but otherwise in much better shape than I expected. If you have some compressed air you might want to give it a blast every now and again rather than replacing the whole thing - good practice after every oil change or if you've just driven through a dust storm, construction site or the set of Mad Max. ... show more

  • Same as OEM one. Made in Germany.
Style: Activated Carbon
Bought 2 for GTI and CC. Both were using OEM products. One was manufactured by Valeo, one was by Mann Filter. The OEM Mann one has both VW part number and Mann CUK2939 part number on it. The OEM Valeo one has some minor differences. All in all, this is essentially the same as the OEM. It came with installation instructions too. Instruction says 12 minutes. I did it before so it took me 2 minutes. BTW, Neither OEM filters I removed has foam strip around the filter side wall. From the product itself point of view, there is no reason to give less than 5 stars. I'm carrying Mann Filter oil, fuel, and cabin air filters now in my car. I use Mann filters for my friend's BMW, VW, and MINI. ... show more

  • Freshens up your car!
Style: Activated Carbon
I bought a used Jetta and it had a very strong funky smell inside. I tried waiting it out for a few weeks, driving with the windows down and the fan full blast, air fresheners, and even burning incense as a last resort. Nothing worked! That is until I simply replaced the air filter with this one. I think the activated carbon really did the trick, because after a few days the cabin was nearly scent free! ... show more

  • Works and Fits Fine
Style: Activated Carbon
This cabin filter went in and works fine. Quality appears to be as good as the OEM filter. One suggestion would be that their instructions could use some verbiage. Was a little tricky figuring out how to install as this was the first time for me. Other than that I would highly recommend.
