  • PERFORMS WELL!
Does exactly as described, can handle thick hair! My second 'Groomer purchased, as I upgraded from original to the Pro after 3 years. Battery and blade still worked fine (should always replace blade after 6 months if using regularly) Love the Pro verison with turbo option!

  • It works well, I think I always needed this
This is a nice one. But the arm joint is a bit odd. It feels like I am breaking it to open it. I push all the buttons. Release, unlock. Make sure it is unlocked, but still a strong click almost like I am breaking something. But it hasn't broken. It is working and it works well. I used a retinol lotion after use and my back looks great. ... show more

  • Works pretty good
Used the shaver for a bit now and works good. #1 - Only use when very dry not out of the shower, no humidity, and no sweat. #2 - be sure you push in the unlock button all the way before you pry it open or it'll snap #3 - pushing harder doesn't work better, first time will take multiple passes but upkeep is faster figure out the angles that work best Will buy again if I break it ... show more

  • it was like watching a child at Christmas
The media could not be loaded. The husband busted his new MANGROOMER out of the package last night; it was like watching a child at Christmas. He was so excited he stripped down to his skivvies and went to town on the woodlands of his body. We decided to make a demo video on his hairy legs to show off how effective it was. This thing seems to have a bit of a learning curve. For instance, on the "hedge trimmer" attachment (the one without the shaving foil) it seems to work better when you push it in a forward motion. Pulling it back didn't seem to catch as much hair. My husband tried it both with, and against the direction of hair growth and the pushing with the hair direction seemed to work best. The other attachment that has the shaving foil will also take some getting use to. It does get a closer shave but running it over his chest after using the hedge-trimmer didn't seem to make much difference to all the little cactus prickles. Could be because of the direction of growth or numerous other factors but he'll have to mess with this thing some more. As is, this attachment was kind of underwhelming and he had hoped it'd have just done its thing regardless of technique or finesse. Both of these heads have a "shock absorber" but it seems pretty stiff and pointless. If you're pressing hard enough to make this joint flex at all, you're probably going to draw blood from it scratching you. And speaking of drawing blood, this thing is way better than the regular Wahl head-hair trimmer my husband usually uses to manscape with. That thing will bite you if you hold it wrong. My husband ends up looking like he had a naked tussle with a badger after using that thing. The MANGROOMER, however, has a very close spacing between the teeth of both shavers so it's much less likely to make a meal of those flabby fleshy spots. In the video, you can see some redness and scratches but by the time he cleaned up afterward, everything was back to it's usual pasty-white hue. Then there's the handle - it's great in concept but not so much in function. I mean, he can reach all of his back with it which means I don't have to participate in this monthly lawn-care ordeal but it would be better if the extendable handle could detach. That way it could be used for other body parts without having an extra long handle to contend with. Kind of like if you were to tape your toothbrush to the end of a bent shovel handle - you can do it but it's just awkward. Also, the angle of the handle - the thing just doesn't lay out very straight. In the end, my husband found the sweet-spot of going around the side of his body/shoulders other than up and over his shoulders to reach his back (as he did in the video). Maybe this is just due to how his freaky sasquatch hair grows, I dunno. The power button was another design issue he ran into. While shaving other areas, like arms and legs, he'd have to hold up on the body of the shaver rather than use the awkwardly angled handle - this then led to the power button being bumped and the shaver getting turned off repeatedly mid-shave. As for the "power boost" option, it changed the noise but he didn't really see much of a difference. The charging cord is very thin and I feel like if you cram it into the drawer when not in use, its going to get a short in it. And the MANGROOMER doesn't come with a bag or anything to store it, or the extra parts in. Even just a cheap little zippered pouch would be enough. As for the battery, my husband was fairly impressed. He ran that thing until it died, mowing everything from his neck down to his little hairy Hobbit feet. Not sure how long it went for, as there were many pauses during the process where the shaver was turned off, but he was going at it for like an hour and a half. Knowing I'd be doing a thorough review on the MANGROOMER, my husband wanted to put this thing to task so he took it places that even I don't venture near. I'll I can say is that man is hair-free from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the valley, and without blood loss! Overall, it's a decent product - maybe with a subsequent shave the different features and so forth will be more useful but as of right now, it doesn't seem worth the $45 we paid for it. If they changed a few things like making the handle detachable and moving the power button, it'd be more functional and versatile but as is, it's really just a back-hair or hard-to-reach area shaver because it lacks the maneuverability to hit areas like the back of your legs, armpits, and places where a long handle isn't necessary. ... show more

  • Fantastic customer service
Had an issue with mine and contacted seller. Seller was very responsive within minutes and fixed the problem. This is my second one after I got my first one wet by mistake. These are not water resistant. Highly recommended and excellent customer service!
