I’ve been using the Mancro Laptop Backpack for Travel (Anti-theft, Business) now for about a year, mostly for school, commuting, and some travel—and honestly it’s been a really good buy. If you’re thinking of getting one, here’s how it’s held up and where it shows its strengths (and limits). What I Love Roomy storage — It easily fits my 15.6-inch laptop, a couple of big textbooks, notebooks, my lunch bag, chargers, and cables. Plenty of space without being totally overkill. The multiple compartments, side pockets, front organizer section—they all help keep things from tangling. Good price for what you get — For a backpack with anti-theft features, USB charging port, water-resistant material, and decent construction, this one was very reasonably priced. I don’t feel like I overpaid. Features have lasted — The water-resistant fabric still keeps things safe from light rain. The laptop sleeve’s padding is still intact (though maybe a little compressed). Straps are still holding up. The anti-theft design (hidden zippers, side pockets etc.) gives peace of mind when walking around campus. Functionality — The USB-charging port on the side is real useful. I often carry a power bank, plug it inside, and charge my phone without rooting around in the bag. Very practical on days long days at school. What to Know / Minor Downsides Bulk when packed full — If I load it up with everything I own (textbooks + laptop + gym stuff + jacket + lunch + more), it starts to look and feel bulky. Not uncomfortable, but you notice it. If you’re carrying less, it’s much more comfortable. Padding isn’t super generous everywhere — The bottom of the backpack has less reinforcement than the laptop sleeve. If you drop it, or set it down roughly, the base sometimes feels a little soft. Also with heavier loads, the shoulder straps are okay but could be better padded. Looks common, but that’s not a bad thing — I’ve seen a lot of students using a very similar Mancro bag. Doesn’t bother me—means it’s trusted. But means it doesn’t really stand out in style if you want something unique. Final Verdict After a year, this backpack has shown it’s worth the money. It has enough space for school supplies, protects my laptop, includes thoughtful extras (USB port, anti-theft), and holds up under daily use. If you don’t always carry everything, it’ll be comfortable. If you do, you’ll feel the bulk, but even then it still works. If you want something more premium or more padding or a super sleek look, there are more expensive options. But for what Mancro offers at its price, it punches well above what I expected. I’d buy this again, and do recommend it.

I bought this as I needed a laptop bag that was smaller/thinner than the bag I was using for travel. I had a trip coming up and needed a bag that would fit my laptop, a few items, perhaps fit under the seat on my flight and not be heavy while carrying it through an airport. Also, I wanted to be able to use it while commuting to/from work if needed (but it's main purpose and immediate need was a flight). I've since taken that flight and used this bag and can say, this worked out really well. My laptop is the 15.6" and it fits generously. Inside the bag has a laptop pocket that also has a velcro strap to keep things secure. It works. Inside also has a zipper pocket large enough for keys, or small items (it's not deep but it is functional). Outside has 2 zippers, a larger zipper area which I place a reading book. This area fully unzips and has some compartments for pens or whatever. I did not use the charging port so I can't speak on it (you have to bring your own charger but it comes with the USB cord) and totally forgot that it has a back strap to put around your luggage. To be honest, I didn't realize as I didn't need it. On the back it wasn't heavy. Plus, I checked my luggage, so I didn't have it with me long). I'm 5'3" and this fit comfortably on my back. As with most backpacks, the straps are adjustable and have some padding in there. It also has 2 outside pockets on the side. While I didn't use them on my trip, I think it would hold a small umbrella or small water bottle (I just tried it and a 16.9oz water bottle fits fine. It's not overly deep so I don't know if my metal water bottle which is tall would be secure). Overall, this was a great pick for me. I've only had a week and used it for 1 leg of my trip but it's worked well thus far. I ordered the gray and the pictures show it accurately. It fit great under my airplane [Delta] seat. I had room for my purse and feet.

At first when I saw this I thought I might have to return it because it looks small, but to my surprise my HP Omen gaming laptop fits perfectly inside. It also has plenty of space left over for me to keep a controller, and some books. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the lock that came with it was unusable. I couldn’t even get the lock open and I followed the instructions.

This backpack holds my Acer laptop securely with a strap over the top, and there’s plenty of space for the charger, cord, and even a mouse in the front pocket. I also connected a slim battery pack to the built-in USB cord, though I haven’t had to use it yet. The material feels sturdy and well made. The security lock isn’t heavy-duty, but it does add a little extra deterrent and would slow someone down if they tried to open it quickly. So far, it’s been a good choice for everyday use — I’ll see how it holds up over the long term.
