Nice quality skates, adjustable lengths, the smooth wheels lights up... so much fun for the kids. Seems pretty sturdy and stable, making them good for beginners who struggle with balance. You should be able to get a good fit from simply lacing them more tightly if you order them under the correct size. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size. At the time when I placed the order (February) the sizing selection was very unclear, so I thought I was getting skates that would fit my 4 yrs old who wear size 9 shoes in toddler, but instead, these are way too big. It seems that the product sizing has been updated since then, and the ones I've ordered are now listed as a "Youth" size. ... show more

These roller skates were awesome. I was concerned about the fitting because my daughter wearing size 13 or 1, but the adjustable sizing worked great! The wheels rolled smoothly. The lace hooks at the top of the skates are great to get the perfect fit around her ankle. These are great. My kids love these. Comfortable, fairly easy to adjust and put on. They still needed a little help, but thats ok. Id rather they be on securely to keep them from rolling their ankles. They really love how the wheels light up when they ride. Makes it so fun when the sun is going down. Impressed with the quality. These roller skates are way better than anything I had back in the 80s...aesthetically and structurally. They're bright, and they light up nicely which is a big win for any child! The frame and wheels are solid and strong. The boots are armored and super tough like they should be. I recall the ones I had being made from flimsy floppy material with long laces that took forever to tie. These skates are easy to put on and have strong straps to keep them sturdy. The only minor issue I had was the laces became stuck on the velcro strap, but apart from that everything is of superior design. My daughter really enjoyed trying them out in the living room for the very first time. After a dozen or so laps of holding onto me and furniture, I was amazed at how quickly she took to them. It took about 20min for her balancing to improve. She seemed confident, and was learning to move effectively. They are very user friendly for children, and a great way for them to exercise their gross motor skills. I am so impressed with the quality of these, I would expect to pay double what they cost.
