As an avid camper and outdoorsy guy, I wanted to try these newer types of air mattresses and I'm glad I did. The way they have the air pockets designed gives more support/comfort for my shoulders/hips. Other air mattresses don't really let my shoulders/hip sink down a little bit so I can lay more flat. But this style of mattress is a big improvement. Plus, it's more compact and easier to roll back up and store. The mat deflated on the first night, but it was because A. I hadn't gotten the closures shut as tight as I wanted and B. my granddaughter decided to jump on it in the middle of the night. It worked well for sleeping in a tent near the beach, and was big enough for myself and my young granddaughter to share. It's also sturdy enough to survive a 6-year-old jumping up and down on it. Used this once earlier in the summer, loved it. Its quilted design means it is low volume and easier to inflate, however comfort isn't sacrificed. I took it out this past weekend and it wouldn't hold air, a slow leak had developed. This was the second use. I checked the plugs and they weren't leaking. Once I got it home I used the garden hose to wet it down and finally found a separated seam in the quilting. Of course it is now beyond the 30 day return limit. So I thought it was taking forever the pump up and that there was no way I was ever going to take this in the woods with us, but then I realized there was a second plug I hadn't closed. After that, super easy and fast to inflate. Moderately comfortable, better then the ground or even those foam bed rolls. Thick enough i was able to lay on my side comfortably. Plenty big enough my 6 year and I, would have been fine for my husband and I to make to though a camping trip on. Probably be reserved for pull up camping trips, too heavy to pack in. ... show more

I was first impressed with how small this pad rolls up into its pouch. It's much smaller than I expected which is great for the limited travel space we have. I unrolled it and tested it out and it pumped up very easily. I love that it has the built-in foot pump that doesn't require a separate corded or battery-operated pump. It took a couple minutes of pumping before I noticed the inflating, but then it didn't take very long to fill it the rest of the way. It seems very stable and a good quality. Deflation was also very fast and easy. I strongly recommend this pad and would definitely buy it again - it's a great value ... show more

    • Save for a thicker one or get a gymnastics mat.

$40 wasted. If you want this matt for the beach or the park then its okay. If you want it to sleep on a floor or pavement, you will be on the pavement. Firt off its not as easy to inflate, second if you kneels down on it or sit, any pressure point on it, you will feel the pavement. Once you lay down, it feels okay but if you have a partner know that you will feel every movement they make. Within maybe 10 minutes it looses air and your back is hitting the pavement. I wouldnt be so disappointed if it would have been $20. Honestly that would be a fair price for it. I recommend getting a thicker one that is also portable, or a foldable gymnastics mat if you dont want it for camping. I regret not having waited and invested in a better product. Again reviews are neither here nor there so its hard to know whose word to take. Edit: I got this on Sept. 12, its Oct. 15, barely one month and days and this thing is trash. I've used this air mattress on 3-4 camping trips and it's held up well. It's also easy to inflate and surprisingly comfortable to sleep on for the fact that it is compact and not too thick.
