  • Burt's a big wig
When perusing the queue for a movie to watch I try, mostly in vain to find new movie's. I'm not a huge Burt fan but I remember his 70's output which I think cemented his career. In some films from that period I could tell he was doing the stunts in most of the scenes so when I stumbled on this I thought why not? It's not very original but it is solidly cast and the story is stock formula but never the less I found it entertaining. It doesn't beat around the bush....it tells a simple story without getting too weird or perverse. Best not to over analyze. ... show more

  • Wow...!!! Perhaps A Must Watch...
Wow...!!! I don't know but It does remind me of current political events....!!! Is this really true of our country? Do things like this really happen? Man...! If so, we're all in trouble. I would say watch it but keep an open mind throughout. It's mind boggling that it, kinda' sorta', anticipates what could happen if people become ignorant about facts; brainwashed or believe in certain alternative reality. I don't know... Action packed and interesting but troubling at the same time... It makes you think... ... show more

  • Malone MGM Limited Edition Collection
From the novel "Shotgun" by William Wingate, this drama depicts Burt Reynolds as an ex-CIA hit man on the run who stumbles into to a real-estate swindle/murder plot in Oregon led by Cliff Robertson. Also starring Cynthia Gibb And Lauren Hutton The dvd picture has a bit of grain in some scenes but the colors like the blue sky is quite strong and the audio is quite clear. the dvd packaging is basic but looks ok, the movie is presented in a nice (16:9) 1.85:1 widescreen format. The back of the dvd states region 1, I live in the uk with a multi-region dvd player but when I tried it in a region 2 player it played fine so this dvd could be region free. delivery directly from amazon.com was pretty quick and took just over a week to the uk, worth checking out before its out of print. • I believe Burt Reynolds is like 5+ years older than Scott Wilson but I am ...
Another masterpiece from Burt here. First off, I believe Burt Reynolds is like 5+ years older than Scott Wilson but I am way too lazy to look it up... yet in the film, Scott is the old wise farm man and Burt behaves like he is much younger. Also, I am about 90% certain that Burt is hitting on his daughter who they seem to be treating as if she is like 15. It adds a very hilarious sexual undertone to this film. Let's get to the awesome though. Burt kills an absurd number of people violently in this movie and then, the greatest explosion ever to be put on film happens for no apparent reason. This was a blind buy for me, and I do not regret it. ... show more

  • Good movie if...
... you can deal with that toupee. First off, I am a HUGE Burt Reynolds fan! And I have nothing whatsoever against toupees and wigs but when they look like something purchased from a mall cart shop, well, it's really hard to watch Burt act without being distracted by thoughts such as, "Is that human hair? It looks like plastic in some shots." and "I wonder how many of those he has in his trailer." or "How does he keep that on his head?" and "Does he look like Sorrell Booke without it?" or "How do they get the hairline to curl out from under that way?" and so many more. You see? It's too distracting! I give the movie 5 stars, but subtracted one for the bad hairpiece. ... show more
