Our chop saw gets daily use in our shop and the 80T Diablo was taking it's time lately, so I tried this. Oh sweet Jesus it's fast, and the cuts are extremely smooth. It takes longer for the Hitachi saw to spin it up that it does to get through most pieces of wood. I've only had it a couple weeks, so I'll update this if longevity ends up being an issue. But looking at the tooth geometry, Makita seems to have put some thought into this blade... ... show more

I've owned and used various chopsaws and blades for 50 years. This is hands down the best blade I've ever owned. Just reordered a backup blade. I've made several hundred cuts with the first blade and the cut ends are still glass smooth.

Like the headline said, Awesome!!!! I needed a fine tooth saw blade for cutting shotgun stocks and was having trouble finding a good one that wouldn't leave tear-out. Well, this Makita is just the ticket. It leaves a smooth cut with zero tear-out which means everything when your cutting on a customer's $3000.00 shotgun. Not sure how long it will last, but since this one is dedicated to shotgun stocks, that's all it will ever be used for. ... show more

Very high-quality product. This is the second blade I bought of this brand and model. When it is new it cuts like butter and makes a very smooth cut, until I start breaking off teeth from hitting nails and such, which seems to happen all too often in my work. I even use it to cut non-ferrous metal, like aluminum and copper on a regular basis. ... show more

I purchase this blade about a month ago to replace my 80 tooth blade. the price was great vs. other brands and after installing it 3 weeks ago I have made approx. 3,000 cuts with it no tear-out what so ever and goes through mahogany, oak, and hickory with no issues.
