Top Amazon Reviews

  • Slightly updated version
Size: X-Large
I've bought several Mak Pacs over the years. This one was shipped w/o an Amazon outer box. So, the Makita box came looking used and battered. Luckly, the product was undamaged. What looks updated was the locking tabs. They are now easier to use. Everything else appears the same. This order was returned because the price was reduced by about $13 three days after I bought it, and I rebought it at the lower price. Amazon has a great return policy. I gave four stars for durability because I rarely take my boxes out into the field so they're untested in that respect. Otherwise, a good product in my view. ... show more

  • Good tool box
Size: Large
I decided to go with Makita tool boxes because I only buy their tools so I may be biased. I like these tool boxes because they are simple and not overbuilt. I don’t like tool boxes with a lot of stuff that I have no idea what it’s used for. All the Makita tool boxes are straight forward and simple. The only thing I think could be better is the connections, but I don’t mind them. I don’t know how you would make them better. But I will say I like the simplicity of the clips and the plain boxes it gives a lot of good space. ... show more

  • Great tool organizers...
Size: Small
Don't understand why the bad reviews about these. Seems too many have the wrong expectations for this product. I love how the other reviewer said they are storage, not bar stools or step ladders. So true. They may not take the abuse of a rough and tumble construction worker, but if you treat them right, they are more than durable. Also, don't see how any one can knock off stars for being too small, the size is listed right here on the product page. Not like it's a mystery box. I am a avid DIYer plus I do alot of woodworking and I love them. I already have two packed out. One for my Jessem downeling jig with all the parts and all three sizes, it all fits in this box perfectly. The other I have my Rockler jig-it hinge jig, and all it's parts, all fit perfectly as well. Of course they won't fit everything, but there are other sizes. Also love the fact that they fit together and lock together. And you can't complain about the price, they are so much cheaper than systainers. I've priced them, they are high. Very happy with these boxes, glad I bought them and will be buying more. ... show more

  • Good case, great value, I like the festool integration.
Size: X-Large
Great! It's sturdy enough, though I can see it cracking when dropped at a weird angle, with a good amount of weight in it, but not enough to worry about it and not for this price. Made by the same company that makes Festool systainers and it's clips work with them too. However when grouping with my systainers these have to be at the bottom of the stack they won't sit on top of Festool systainers because the base doesn't match to the top of the Festool but the reverse is true. When latched to the systainers it's not 100% sturdy but it's good enough to stack and move around the garage. If I were to take it in my truck I would stack it separately probably. Holds my 4" Makita belt sander perfectly plus extra belts etc thrown on top of it. The belt sander reaches and to end(left to right) and fills most of the front to back space as well on it's own. I wouldn't go to the next height down with this for the belt sander even though you might be able to, because the cord is looong on the belt sander and it helps not to have to jam it in. For the price being a third of the Festool and it matching my Makita belt sander this was the perfect solution. Compared to the Bosch containers I prefer this. Those Bosch ones are so hard to connect when stacking it ticks me off and are no better than these Makita ones in build quality or storage dimensions. ... show more

  • Quality, Functional, and Great for Portability
Size: X-Large
Some reviews on these call them cheap, and while the newest offering from Millwaukee are pretty amazing in build quality they also come in at about 30% more expensive than these and don't work with existing systems like these. I really like these Makita Cases. I have several, the first one came with my Makita Track Saw, and I loved it, they are actually very sturday, they stack really well, they lock together well, the plastic clasps can be stiff at times and sometimes need a little non-oil based lubrication, you could use sometime like WD40 but, then that attracts dust. But, it really isn't necessary. Contrary as well to what others have said they do have a spot for a lock on the right side, they are sturdy and strong, they are very functional, have a lot of volume / room. I have been buying additional ones for other tools as they make a great portable toolbox when combined that I can simply grab individual tools and go, they keep tools stowed and organized, and the boxes organize and stack, and store really well in areas with limited space. I recommend these. They could be cheaper but, for the price they are pretty good. ... show more

  • Great storage boxes for tools
Size: Medium
These boxes are amazing. Very durable and hold a lot of space. I highly recommend getting the foam inserts (T-02571), however, for this Medium box you need to purchase 2x of them. More for the larger boxes. Still, the depth is perfect for the Routing tool, 2x drills, and 2x batteries.....At least in the setup I used. They are 'fairly' lightweight. If you have a large stack of them, that might change, but they hold together pretty well. I wish the connecting latches fit a little more firmly together, as there is light play between the boxes. Just be mindful of how much weight is in each stack, and I wouldn't have each stack much higher the 4' when they are filled with tools. Just a smart safety precaution. There are strap points on the sides , and they have come in real handy. Plastic accepts labels nicely. I've had some plastics where labels like to pull away after time. These seem to label nicely with a 'Brother's labeler', and the labels come off cleanly. ... show more
